DC Gold Speakers Installed-Wow!

I have the speakers installed and set up my amp and holly cow batman, I have great sound!

I was able to turn the gains up from 4 to 6 out of 10 and the system came alive! Great sound and unbelievable power and bass. Running 300 watts of Rockford Fosgate power and 300 watt Bass Woofer in the frunk it really makes the bass come alive. I set the head unit up to 5 bars of bass which sounds great.

Long story short, I finally have a complete matched system with the DC Gold Speakers, they can take everything the amp puts out and are full range so they alone can handle everything from the highs and the lows without distortion and Bose quality sound.

Yes, N4. is the correct model. The next level up is a waste for mobile applications and suited better to home theater applications.

Yes, the have 4" for the rear and 5 1/4" for the front.

The last picture shows it installed in the rear speaker hole. I just had to cut a corner off the speaker so it did not interfere with the grill.

The punch 300 watt 4 channel.
I have it mounted under the tupperware where the XM Radio would go. Great amp and with these speakers it really puts out now. I went for a ride on the weekend down the chuckanut. Way to loud now to listen above 1/2 volumn.

did you cut the input RCA plugs off and use just the wires to the factory speaker for the input to the amp?

did you use the set up disk. and how did you handle the auto on since the radio is always on. Assuming the Pbr300x4.

Yes, they instruct you to cut the rca jacks off of their harness and wire directly to the speaker outs. I picked these up right at the old speaker wires and used spade connectors to keep the orgional radio wiring in tact.

I never received a set up disc with my amp

I had already installed a custom built fuse panel so I picked up a line that is only hot while the bike is running.

The pictures below show the backing plated that the amp mounts too, I made of 1/4" alumin plate to act as a heat sink and for good measure I added a small computer fan that blows air up.
