• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Daytona Owners Event F3

While at the Owners Event in Daytona this year I saw an F3 with Givi side and top cases parked close to the tent. I had hoped to catch up with the owner but had no luck. Curious if by any chance they are members of this group or if someone might know who they are? I would like to do the same thing but I am not sure of the mount to get. I know several on SL have done something similar but this seemed to be stock mounts with an adapter plate. Any help would be appreciated.

Always happy to help:

I did it with the help of two spyderlovers postings. go to F3 forum and forum search with word "wingrack"

It will come up with the two postings I used: 1. "Just could not stand it" by guzzi 2. "2015 F3s SE6 touring spyder mods" by spyderyderjim.

If your cases are compatible with Givi "Wingrack mounting system which does include mounting hardware for side and top cases," then what I did will work for you also. It does require some DIY.

See their posts and pictures it will be clearer on what you need to do. Summary: make/buy two bars to attach to side cases Wingrack mount - wingrack mounts using longer bolts thru backseat grabrail mounting bolts. Also two straight 4"ish bars that add further bracing for side cases to wingrack. Also this approach is easy to take everything apart and install on another bike and to put your bike back into original configuration.

PM me and I'll be happy to provide my bill of materials that I used as well as answer any further questions.

:agree: I did Kappa side bags, using the same instructions BeRight gave, on my wife's F3. She loves them.:thumbup::thumbup:

Kappa bags use the same Wingrack 2 mounting system, and are less expensive than givi.

I mounted the Givi V35 bags on both our F3. I made the mounting brackets using Givi PLX frames. I think Shad is coming out with bags for the F3 and the price is quite good, seems around $900.00 for the mount and bags..
