Daytona Bike Week

RL: Just give me a shout when ya'll are headed up I-4 toward Daytona. Cindy and I will be doing the track thing.

Chris
Chris,
It looks like it will take us 1 hour from the time we leave Cracker Barrel to get to Sanford if traffic will allow. So 9:00-9:15 am would be close to the ETA for Sanford
I will call you when we leave CB and we can hook up. My cell is 863-873-7002
What exit are you close to and where would you like to meet. You don't just want to be setting on the side of the road waiting for us??????
Let mw know. Mary and I look forward to seeing you and Cindy again, and ryding the track:clap:

R.L., there are three exits to Sanford. They are 101 (A), (B) and (C)

101 (A) exits to SR 46 A or what is known as Hugh Thomas Blvd. I'm 5 minutes from there.

101 (B) exits onto Toll Road 417 (not a feasible option)

101 (C) exits onto SR 46. There are gas stations, convenience stores, etc. and I'm 5 minutes from there.

Just give me a shout.

Chris

No, I don't think so. I had the opportunity to ride the track the last 2 years and I'm going to ride Saturday too. I think the Florida law applies. We can't go to fast, just depends on the bike in front of you. :spyder2:

Honk and pass'em...... :roflblack:

Well I may have to change my plans, now that there is the oppertunity to ryde on the track at the Daytona International Speedway.
I was supposed to go to the GatorNationals in Gville that day (March 12), but after seeing the track from the infield on the C2C ryde a few months ago---I just have to do whatever, to participate in this once in a lifetime event.
I have already gone to the BRP site and pre-registered and I am in hopes of being one of the first 60 participants.

I look forward to this event, and seeing my other spyer ryding buddies there.
Have fun and ryde safe. C-YA RL

Thanks much for the link>> Registered & looking forward to putting face to names Saturday

Chris,
Lets plan to meet in the parking area at Don Pablos. It looks like we can get in and out of there pretty ease with a group.
I will call you Saturday morning to update and coordinate.
Looking forward to it!!!! C-YA RL

Here is an agenda for those who wish to ride as a group to daytona.

Meeting Place... Bob Evans... I4 and US 27 :

Sat March 12 at 8:00 AM Kick Stands UP.. Eating must come early, I think....:roflblack:

.

See you all there... Have Spyder, will travel

Forrest,
Are you going to pick us up at Cracker Barrel so we can ryde together??
Hopefully we will be served and ready to go by 8am.
C-YA RL

either place... Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel... they are only a mile apart and B/E is closer to I4, unless you are heading north on 27..

Forrest,
We are heading over on I-4, and we go north from CB to Ronald Regan Parkway (Dean Still Rd goes west & RRP goes east) and then pick up I-4. It's only a few miles, a nice drive, and is safer than turning the group around and crossing US-27 to head back to BE.
Let me know if you will join us. If not then we will definitely see you at BRP or the track.
Have fun and ryde safe C-YA RL

TO anyone who wants to ride togather to the speedway Sat the 12th we will be at the Mc Donalds Jct 17/92 going east on 92. At 10:00 am Departing at 10:30 John & Carol { Mc Donalds102 E Internatil Speedway Blvd 32724-2374 }
JohnnyG,
What time do you expect to be arriving at the track, and is that where you are going first??? Just looking for a meeting point in Daytona and not sure where everyone is meeting and when.
Our ETA for Daytona is 930-945a. Might stop at the Flea Market if we are too early for everyone else.
Let us know and we can make a plan. I'd like to ryde the back roads up to the North side like we did last time. That was a nice ryde, and Chris said he knew a good place for good fried shrimp -- yum yum.

There's a fella by the first name Jim that I met today in Daytona. He's out of the Kissimmee area. He would like to ride with us to Daytona on the 12th. (sorry I can't remember your last name Jim). I told him about RL coming up the interstate from Sebring.

Hopefully Jim will follow my advice and see this particular thread on the forum. He is new to the forum and I suggested that he look at it tonight and perhaps coordinate a time that he could join RL's group.

Hope you do Jim.

Fred Rau in Florida

One of the Florida spyders that we ryde with went up to Lake City to accompany Fred Rau to Daytona. Fred has created a video blog and in it he shows some of the mods on the spyders. You can see my footrests in the video. http://blog.spyderfred.com/
Enjoy C-YA RL

For the "RL Gang" that are coming up I-4 to Daytona, there is another fella, Rudy, who will be in Altamonte Springs. I told him about ya'll coming up I-4, and also, that I would be meeting with you at Don Pablos in Sanford. (I-4/SR46, Southeast Quadrant).

Anyways, I think he'd like to join us riding to Daytona AND perhaps "do the loop".

Rudy if you read this, I guess the best thing would be for you to be up in Sanford tomorrow (Saturday) morning around 9:00. We will be at a restaurant called Don Pablos. You get to it by heading up (East toward Daytona where you are in Altamonte) Interstate 4 and then taking exit 101 C, which will take you to SR46. You want to bear right when you get on 46 and Don Pablos will be immediately to your right. It may be a little tricky when you take that exit 101. It has an A, B and C. You want to make sure you get on C.

Hope to see ya'll in the morning.
