There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Daytona Bike Week -- Where To Stay?

I realize that this is a bit early, but where do folks stay at the Daytona Bike Week in March? I'm considering riding my Spyder down from NJ and am not sure about accommodations.

Also, anyone from the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic states going? Perhaps we could ride together.

We stay in Orlando area and drive the hour fifteen into Daytona . We trailered the Spyder down 2 years ago (open trailer what a disaster ) and where in a snow storm for 14 hours. We didn't get out of the snow until almost North Carolina !

Man if you can wheel it from NJ to Daytona for Bike Week " YOU DA MAN ":bowdown::bowdown: And I would love to buy you a drink of a sociable nature ! We will be there but will trailer down.

The Daytona folks do tend to severely inflate hotel room prices and put minimum length stays in place during bike week. It might be worth your while to investigate the east side of Orlando metro area... The closer the hotel to International Speedway the higher the prices are likely to be..

I personally would choose the Sanford or Enterprise area. There is a nice (clean) Best Western in the Deltona/Enterprise exit. Sanford has several good motels one of which has a Cracker Barrel right next to it. The reason I suggest these two towns is that they both are about 30 minutes from Daytona and 30 minutes from the Orlando area and "Mickey World" or Universal Studios if you wanted to take that in. Also the prices I would bet are going to be a bit less (although there is nothing cheap these days) than the Daytona area.

Now if you are wanting something on the Beach, then my suggestion would be to get a place starting at Ormand Beach and going as far north as Flagler Beach. In fact Flagler Beach has some old time beach houses that were prevelant many years ago along the coast line of Flarda. Both Ormand and Flagler are a short ride down to the Daytona area.

So bottom line you have a choice of two areas. Sanford and Enterprise which are south of Daytona and Ormand/Flagler Beach which are north of Daytona.

Just my 2 cents.

Daytona Stays

I stay at the Beacher's Lodge in St. Augustine, FL. www.beacherslodge.com. Its about 40 minutes from Daytona. I travel down A1A to Daytona. Its a great bike ride. I did it at Biketoberfest plus I'm a nascar fan and stay there when attending the races. They only have 2 studio rooms which are on the bottom floor and you can park right in front of the rooms. Its is easy access in and out and the rates are great. Can't beat it! Oh and not to mention, St. Augustine is a great place also. Nice seafood restaurant just up the road.
