I'm there from Friday Feb 26, Leaving Thursday morning March 4. Have already extended my stay by 1 day to do the police escorted V8 ride on Wed, Just can't extend it another day.

We arrive on Thursday, March 4, probably around noon time or so. I believe we are leaving Saturday around lunch time as well for the 5 hour ride back home. Any get togethers in between those times will be great, but don't hold it at a certain time just for my account. We will be staying about 100 yards from Destination Daytona, so it should be pretty easy for us to meet up with anyone at any time.

biggest laugh of the day

I went around a race track one time. It was just before a NASCAR race at the 2 mile, high banked California Speedway track in Fontana, California. I did it in a fire truck with Miss Fire Prevention on the hood and Smokey the Bear on the back waving to the crowd. Needless to say, I was not able to get up too much speed.

Before I got to the rest of your posting, I was laughing soooooo hard. I could just imagine what the scene would have looked like if you drove as fast as you wanted to. :yikes: I could just see Smokey hanging on with one paw, flopping in the wind and Miss Fire Prevention hanging on to his foot for dear life. Sirens and horns blasting and you in the drivers seat, head down and foot to the floor. :roflblack:

Bike week is generally about motorcycle races........

Cars AND Bikes!!!!! Wow! - if only they would let Ron in with that Fire Truck - I would make the trip to see that!

Doc could be the pace vehicle - that would sure get things off to a fast start.

That sounds easy enough. That event starts at 4:00, so would we want to meet before then, or just get together in a group while we are there?
