There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Daytona Bike Week 2010

I am working on getting time off for this, my plan if I get the days off will be leaving NJ Wednesday night to be there by Thursday and leave Sunday night for home. I will stay north of Daytona somewhere not sure yet, will not ride Spyder down bring it on trailer.

I am going to try to make it down there as well, but it definitely won't be on a Wednesday. The best I can hope for is getting down there on one of the Fridays and staying for a couple of days. I would really like to meet up with some fellow Spyder Lovers if possible down there.

I had planned to be there 2-26, leaving for home 3-3, but have since learned the V8 riders will be having a ride on 3-3 where we partnerd up with the Rats Hole to end up at the Coca Cola pavilion at Destination Daytona until 9 that evening, I will have both the Boss trike and the Spyder there. But don't think it would be possible to extend the trip any longer.

Thanks Doc!

I sent the email message this morning before going to work. I highly doubt I am one of the first 60 though. I have not heard anything back from them yet.

Who else sent the email message, and have any of you heard anything back yet?

They are going to have the printed forms with our names in 3.4.10; if you send the email, for sure you are on the list; the number "60+1" means "more than 60"....

Okay, I was under the impression that 60+1 meant 60 Spyder owners and each of them was allowed to bring 1 guest. I like your definition a whole lot better though!

I'd like to take a few laps around the track at Daytona with the Spyder....I think I could take a few of you in an honest race!:D

Is there any such thing as an honest race? :D

Unfortunately, I am sure they will have some kind of a maximum speed limit set for the trip around the track. It would be great to be able to have free run of the place for a while.

It would, but some of us would surely end up in the ER! Still, it might be worth it. But since it will never happen I can talk BIG SMACK! :ohyea:

I hear you loud and clear!

I have always wanted to go to one of those NASCAR Experience schools where you spend time in the classroom and then take their cars out on the track. They make you sign all of these waivers stating they are not responsible if you get hurt, but I also believe it relieves you of liability if something happens to their car. Therefore I would want to put my foot on and see just how fast I could actually get it to go.

It's a go! I will definitely be there for the Spyder Owners Event. Was able to book a hotel room that is only 100 yards from Destination Daytona for a decent price. :)

We will be rolling into the area on Thursday, March 4, and heading back out on Saturday. :2thumbs:

For these events they do not allow you to go up on the high banks, you stay on the apron for most of the "tour". They also run as a escorted ride and will "push" the back of the pack to prevent people for hanging back and trying to "race" back to the pack. It's fun and something you should do at least once but it's not about going fast.

Sadly, you are absolutely correct.

I went around a race track one time. It was just before a NASCAR race at the 2 mile, high banked California Speedway track in Fontana, California. I did it in a fire truck with Miss Fire Prevention on the hood and Smokey the Bear on the back waving to the crowd. Needless to say, I was not able to get up too much speed.

Even the inner part of a high banked track is steeper than it looks. My impromptu hood ornament had some... Uh, issues... let's just say it was not a good day for Miss Fire Prevention. We did not part friends.

It left me wondering if there is a personallity component to that beauty contest. It may have left her wondering if there is a personallity component to fire department testing. I can tell you for sure there is not! :D

But to be honest, she did have some ligitamate gripes. I laugh about it now...I wonder if she does...

Hubby and I went for a tour one year with our Porsche. We were going good until everyone stopped on one of the turns and we were sitting on an angle. All the electronics in the car went haywire. It thought we were tipped over. Too funny. We got done with the tour and had to turn the car off and then on again to reset all the electronics. But it was fun.

My wife and I will be there on Thursday as well.

Lookout Daytona cause the Canadians are coming..........
