• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Daytona 2011- March 12

The day started off hot and heavy. Folks were lined up for demo rides and the foot traffic was the most that I had seen all week. When I got there I was asked by these folks if they could take a pic on the RT, they really liked it as you can see and they looked good on it.

Here's a picture of some SpyderLovers and Fred Rau in the middle and Chaz Rice is on the far right.

This red RT really stood out.

I would say the RT's out numbered the RS's this year.

And now the waiting game begins. They had a red flag so the race was a little longer than expected. We had to wait a while but this was as good of place to hangout as any and I got to get to know some folks and to fix a guys trunk lid. That made two for the week, seems the dealers haven't figured out how to adjust those yet.

And this is what I love about bike events like this, you just never know what you're going to see going down the road.

Lamont, Cindy & I would like to thank YOU and BRP for such a great weekend. (and thanks to Fred Rau as well). You did an outstanding job covering the event, and your tireless efforts paid off.

As I said to you, you have an open invitation to come down to Sanford next year during bike week and have a hot home cooked meal. I know you guys have to get tired of the "fast food", etc. that you're stuck with.

Additionally, I just wanted to say what a great turn out it was on Saturday this year. I met some really nice people. Cindy commented to me, and I agreed, that the "spyder people" are what I would call a "cut above" in character and friendliness. I'm sure that there will be long lasting friendships that have been spawned by these meetings.

I do hope all feel the same way.

Chris & Cindy PE# 0004

PS: Glad you got home safely Lamont.

It was indeed a great event. We had to wait a bit for our track ride, but with the great "spyder people " to mingle with, it seemed that no one much cared.. Great turnout and I hope the new friendships made will prosper and that our group will grow..:clap::2thumbs:

I must say Lamont you did a great job covering the event, Your pictures were very nice. I though the rap on your :spyder2: was great looking, the picture don't show just. The ride around the track was a lot of fun they took us around twice for having to wait so long I've done this before on two weels but this was the first time they took us to the inside of the track were the bikes rase. It was a lot of fun again. For those of you that could'nt make it down here we hope to meet you in Cuba, MO on the 27th. John and Carol

Janice (pampchic43) and I had an absolute BLAST nojoke !!! The ryde around the track culminated a day of fun and fellowship with all of our fellow Spyderlovers! :2thumbs:

Great to see you again Lamont! I had a great time - got to meet Fred Rau, reintroduce myself to Steve and Reggie from Triclights (thanks for the Calendar!) as well as 2 nice guys from New York- can't remember their names right now, but one had a mowhawk on his helmet:roflblack:.
Ryding the track was fun, I just wished we coudls have gone a little faster:doorag:
After signing a waiver to ryde I was hoping to at least push 3rd gear a little!:dontknow:

But it still was a lot of fun and thank you BRP for the free ryde on the track!

So where was Doc "Imposter""Turbo" Doru?:hun: I thought he would be zipping by a couple of times in the video!!

Great job covering the event !!! It almost felt like I was there with you. I said "almost" !!! :roflblack: How many fingerprints did you have on your Spyder when you got home ??? EEEEK !!! It was for a good cause though. Maybe BRP will let you have money off your next Spyder for all the publicity, not counting all the drool and handprints all over your ride. You should have put a velvet rope around that thing.

very nice wished i were there,i to didnt see doc zipping by as you went around the track prouble too fast to see .or your cramra couldnt keep up with that kind of speed.:chat::D hope he slowed dowen for the kids.

Good stuff, Lamont. Thanks. What make is that seat on that purple Spyder? Looked like a Lamont tractor seat in purple...??
