installed day runners today,no jack,no wheel removal,took 20 minutes.
i am thinking about geting a set, could you post a picture from from side? i am wondering how it will affect gloriders. thanksMine will be installed on Saturday, among many other light kits :2thumbs:
:congrats:
Installed mine Easter morning. Like you I didn't use a jack or remove the tires. I'm not sure how long it took, I wasn't paying attention to the time. I know it was longer than 20 minutes. Once I figured out everything was easily accessible from the left side it was a piece of cake.
Thats what I did, let more air through. I thought it looked a little too "busy" with all 6 lights going, so I removed the factory fogs. This ought to let it breathe a bit better and stay cooler as well.:congrats:
i am holding out for the other light.
if that looks decent, i will forgo brp fogs and let more air thru spyder.
I had the hardest time getting both my arms in there at the same time. I had no slack; did you have any?
Do any of you have the LED Mud Flap lights installed as well? I did not spend much time on it this evening, but was not able to locate the connector with the wheel on yet. It looked like it was going to be in the box under the fender tip light, but it wasn't there. :dontknow:
I have the LED mud flap lights. If you're looking for the connector for the day runner installation, you're looking in the wrong spot.
That is what I figured. So, where is the right spot for the Day Runner connector?
Thanks for the help.
Where the upper control arm meets the frame.
Towards the back leg of the upper control arm.

I didn't use both hands. I used the two fingers and thumb technique to plug the connectors together. And the way I ran the wires I had plenty of slack.I had the hardest time getting both my arms in there at the same time. I had no slack; did you have any?
It would be interesting to see the different ways people put these things on. Evan probably had a specific way in mind to do this, but without detailed instructions its anybodys guess.I had some slack in mine, a few inches, going up and over the A arm. Like you, I could barely get my arms in there. I think I should have just taken the trunk off and made it very easy.

I mounted mine with the wires to the inside. I ran the wires along the bottom front A arm (the one the day runners are attached to) between the frame and the trunk. From there I zip tied the wires to the flexible wire shield that runs along the front bottom part of the frame back to the engine area. I had plenty of slack going that route. I bunched up the slack and zip tied it to the brake line making sure it wouldn't interfere with the steering box. I don't know if that was the best way, but it worked.:2thumbs:
The installation is done! Found the connectors by flashlight and worked everything out from there. Now my wife says she needs brighter headlights, as her current ones look yellow and dirty compared to the new Day Runners.
Anyone know of a replacement headlight bulb that is close to the same color spectrum?
The Day Runners are in the same color range as the HID headlights kits we have.
