I will reply right here.
# 1 After spending 25K for a vehicle, I refuse to have to keep it on a battery tender all of the time. To me, that is a screw-up by BRP that they do not want to address. I travel and will not leave a battery on a charger in my garage while out of town, nor should I or any of us have to. My 2001 Busa, with a 5 yr old battery, fires up after sitting for a month. Same with the truck, generator, etc.
# 2 Maintenance costs on the spyders are rediculous. 160 + for oil changes, 1400 for the 12K service. Maint. costs on the Goldwing are way less, needed less frequently and in the long run will save me a ton of money. Rumor that BRP was going to move the 12K valve check has not materialized. Watch your warranty if you did not get it done.
# 3 BRP lack-luster customer support: What is causing main shaft failures, bearings going out prematurely, limp mode issues, my past DPS issues ( 3 changes on one spyder), oil in airboxes this should have been addressed by BRP from the beginning. There is no real reason for this), fuel smell so strong that I leave my garage open for hours after returning from a ride.
# 4 Trailer issues: clearguard peeling off and bubbled from day 1, carpet hanging off on the insides, key lock coming out when opening the back.
I was very patient for quite a while, but am now giving this up for better things. Mine is ready for trade-in with my local dealer and I am getting a great deal on a 2012 level 2 goldwing with navi package and all accessories.
