Guess I will take this in yet AGAIN for a checkup, (I think the mechanics spend more time on my bike than I do sometimes), but this is the most recent event....
I turn the key on, no dash lights at all for a few seconds, (sporatic, and not always), then click and they go on. After pushing the safety button, then starting the bike, a few minutes later the read safety card warning will scroll across the dash like it does before you start the bike, although now the bike is running, so I press the safety switch thing again and it goes off. This also happens while riding normally for a while too.
Quite often I get the Check DPS warning that scrolls across the dash along with the check engine light, in which case I pull over (or just wait till later), and then mess with the relays a bit, then it goes away. The other day this happened and I actually lost my power steering while driving, that was no fun.
I have put a foam type backing in the relay box to make them sit tight, and it has not helped, so I'm wondering if there is someting else I should be doing or checking??
My concern is, I will get it to the dealership, and it will of course not be exibiting the problems and as usual, they will not know how to fix it.
I should also note, the only reason I had the recall software update done was the dealership told me it would fix these very issues...NOT and of course I now have the new simptoms associated with the software update to contend with.
