I had to take the day off for a doc appointment tuesday. I rode my STS down to Richmond, it was an Awesome day for a ride. While I was eating that stuff they call lunch there I decided that I would stop off at the dealer and take the F3 for a spin.
When I first switched from the harley to the Spyder I intended on a RS SM5 and ended up getting the STS SE5, the F3 they had to demo was the SE6. I test rode the F3 to the Mrs.'s work, her only question was "are you trading your ST for that?", she rides a RS so that wasn't a bad thing for her to say. I still wanted the SM so I told her only if they will give me what I want price wise and ONLY if they have the SM6.
Back at the dealership they had the SM6, now the numbers. Fisrt offer wasn't cutting it, niether was the second. They finally came back with numbers that worked.
The SM6 was still in the crate in the basement/garage, I am mean, I want it NOW. Ok I didn't yell or anything but I wanted to ride it home. 2 hours after working the numbers and signing papers I was transferring eveything from the ST to the F3.
The rain rolled in and I had a not so fun trip home but it was on a brand new pearl white Spyder F3 SM6.
I just ordered the Smooth Spyder backrest for it (Jim, if you could get that to me quick, Rolling thunder is coming up and we are planning on taking the kiddos this year), much to the wifey's dismay, I didn't even think about pulling the one off the ST for her RS, we loved the Smooth Spyder backrest!!!
Darn Demo rides!!!
