• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

just like last year and the year before that. as far as a driver she appears to have gone to Bodine school of driving.

She'll either make it in NASCAR; or she won't...
Time will tell... :dontknow:

If King Richard had his way. Would she be gone? She seems to have gotten under the skin of the Pettys? One word to them. Times are a changing and the Winston Cup days are long gone.

Richard Petty sort of challenged her to a race. Since he doesn't know much about the current generation NASCAR they use and she probably wouldn't do well in a 1976 Plymouth maybe they ought to both race on Spyders.

That would be a good pay TV event I would watch.

How about a mud-wrestling match?? :roflblack:
The King probably should have prefaced his comments with; "At this stage of her career...", and there would have been no controversy whatsoever! :D

I remember when Shirly Muldowney first came on the scene so many years ago and challenged the boys at their game.

RE: Danica. I think this will be the year that makes or breaks her reputation. She continues to keep that 35th or close to that position for herself. Couple crashes--but don't think she caused them. I do feel she gets to much air time for what she is accomplishing (or lack or) in racing.

Better known as Shirley "cha cha" Muldowney! What a gal she was! Pissed off a lot of men in her day, including her ex-husband Jack!!! But I agree, she sure could drag with the best of them!!!nojoke

I think anyone who has worn a firesuit has a right to criticize her if he or she wishes...and that includes King Richard. I'm not so certain that the folks in the stands, or worse yet at home on the couch, share that privilege. I'm personnaly not convinced she belongs there, but I feel the same about Montoya, several geriatric drivers, and about Sprint drivers in Nationwide races. Our opinions mean nothing. She only has to please the car owners and sponsors. Racing is show biz...and she is good at that. .....and raising Randy's blood pressure. :roflblack:

Don't know what you base your comments on, but King Richard has a better knowledge of the current Cup series and cars than you give him credit for.

she creates a buzz and that excites sponsors … I happen to agree with the King on this one. if that were a guy and he had the same results as she has for the past five years, no one would care and I highly doubt he would have a top ride in nascar. she has one win under her belt in 12 years of racing and that was a rain shortened race in Japan.

Shirley "cha cha" Muldowney was competitive and she earned her respect over the years and won races.

I find it funny that people are so quick to criticize Danica after such a short time in a cup seat, but Dale Jr inherits a cult following after many years of failure, and blaming his team....

As for Richard's knowledge of the sport today, many in the business believe that Petty enterprises would be doing much better if Richard stayed out of it.... I respect the man for his accomplishments, but it isn't the same sport, and he's too "old school".
