There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Yes. I used to come to Marcus Dairy when I lived in New Jersey.
The dairy portion was closed for years.
They finally closed the diner a few years back, and now there's a Whole Foods as the anchor store in a strip mall.
Whole Foods ??
From a biker hangout to a Die Yuppie Scum hangout.
That's progress ?

Marcus Dairy, Danbury, Connecticut, April 16, 1989

The big V-twin coughs, grunts like an old bear on a cold morning, kicks over and idles down to a steady rump, rump, rump as it warms up. There’s no place on earth colder than a still-dark Sunday morning in a New England spring. But a hot cup of coffee gets the juices flowing and the highway’s welcome provides the warmth the weather lacks. The day clears as you wind down Route 7, and so does your mind as the Vulcan and the rhythm of the road do their work. You sweep down from the overpass, give the throttle a healthy blip and shut ‘er down. The smell of frying bacon says, “come on in” and you join the crowd.

Because that’s what this is all about. The ride and the bike and the crowd. Cold mornings, hot iron and warm conversation. The stories of what you rode and where. Veterans with 15 years of Sunday mornings at the Dairy. And an interesting breed of newer riders, some of whom are even more interesting than others. You rode in alone. But nobody says you have to ride out that way. Kawasaki. Let the Good Times Roll
.

The last time that I was at the Dairy, was in May of 1989...
When I got home; I found out that my Gramma Denman had passed away that day...

But its' time for some new memories. It might be too late for this year; what about in the Springtime?

Yup, good memories of going there as well. Thanks for the info on Panera, I will keep it in mind for some of our Sunday Rides.

Going out tomorrow but not so early to make it a day trip there.

Vided. I think I will join you with a cup of coffee. Coming from Dutchess county. I will be there at 8:30

Memories....

Guess nothing lasts for ever plays out here. I love ya'lls past, having grown up in a foriegn land, maybe cause we saw it all in the movies. But never miss the chance to ride those bits of Route 66 I finds when travelling about. We have one of the largest bodies of water in the continental US made by man attempt to tame the colorado river that was once a mega playground for the in crowd. Now a ghostly area but facinating....but there are always new places...:yes:

Some me may call it progress

To bad it's late in the rydeing season. Hopefully more spyders will come out in the warmer weather. Good ride home with you. We will do it again. Good to go back where there were lots of memories.

I used to hang there as well on Sunday mornings. Don Clady who organized the "Super Sunday's"as well as many other bike events is alive and well. Just saw his name as the editor of a Conn. bike paper. Met him once. Nice guy. Tom :spyder:

Mark and I went to Marcus Dairy once.....we were traveling the northeast and realized that we would be in Connecticut on a sunday....so we went.....had read about Super Sunday somewhere.....it has been I think close to 20 years ago....thanks for the memories
