• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

6/21 - Trip ended before it started. I'm leaking coolant and overheating. Also, tire has to be replaced for sure now. Down under 20 PSI in just a few hours. Between this and DC, I'm starting to think someone doesn't want me going anywhere fun!!!! I've had time off scheduled for this for months and have been looking forward to it ever since. Ugh!

I'm going to fix these items as soon as possible. I know the coolant leak and overheating aren't related to a bad relay switch as the fan is working fine. Plan now is to fix these items ASAP and salvage what I can for my time off. Maybe we'll head to NY and visit NMN. I'm determined to have a good time on my time off come hell or high water. Just going to take an extra day or two to get going.

Thanks, everyone for offering to help me on this trip. Sorry I won't be there to meet and enjoy time with my Spyderlovers friends. :(

- Found a nail in my back tire. Going to plug it and pray it holds. NOTE: Working on the rear of the :spyder2: makes me question the prudence of the barbed wire. My hands look like I high 5'd Edward Scissor Hands.

Trailer still isn't done being painted. Going to be cutting it close. No flames for California. :( GloRyders did not arrive in time either.

I agree with the RideOn James, We may have enough left for one rear tire. I will bring it with and hopefully that will give some peace of mind. Also on an up note. I traveled well over 5000 miles on a plugged rear tire. I picked up a nail early on and had a flat, is was so sad to see. I went to Gatlinburg and back and our UP ride and everywhere with that tire plugged.

Ride on

I have a bottle as well. If you make it to Indy and still need it I'll be happy to donate to such a noble venture.

ride on

If you want it, let me know. Only problem is you need to let the air out of tire and put in the ride on and refill. I have a compressor and am 5 minutes from the meet on Monday. If you want to take the time, we can get it done.

One little trick I have learned plugging motorcycle tires(especially sportbike tires, they hate plugs) out in the middle of no where is this. Keep a heavy sewing needle and thread/dental floss or some fine straight pins. The sewing is a bit of a task compared to using the straight pins, but either one keeps the tar worms from being thrown out by centrifugal force. About 1/4 ~ 1/2 inch away from the plug, send the needle and thread or straight pin just below the surface of the rubber, through the plug and back up through the surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch away from the plug. I try to get at least an "X" pattern if not a "*" to ensure it stays. The straight pins are cut at surface level and remain in the tire while it would be just the thread that remains in the tire. Giving the needle or pin a bit of a "U" shape really helps, go deep enough to get you 100~150 miles at least so you can check the repair at gas stops. You can slather a little extra rubber cement in the area, but there never seems to be any air pressure loss since you are in the tire tread and not poking all the way through the tire. This may be a bit excessive for these tire, they may hold plugs better than sportbike tires.
