June Issue of CW talks about Spyders "Leaning" patent. Said they called BRP and was told the patent was applied for so they would have one of their own--and not have to buy the rights to someone elses. The speculation is that--BRP will offer a "leaning" Spyder version sometime in the future.
A Second article mentioned their long term test of the Spyder RT. They have 5700 miles on their long term test version and are mostly happy with it. They did mention the high cost of maintainence ($1,000) in 6000 miles. Mostly due to the recommended 6000 mile valve check--which they had done.
