• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A big shout out to Baja Ron and Firstgear for outstanding customer service.

I had purchased a 90 watt jacket and non armored heated gloves from Ron in early January of this year. Both have worked flawlessly until I needed them on my recent return trip from Houston, Tx.

The right glove didn't heat, necessitating the use of my rain covers over the right glove to block the wind and keep my hand comfortable.

After returning home I contacted Ron via email and he sent me the customer service number for Firstgear. Called and was very courteously greeted, apologies given for my problem and assurances that a new pair would be shipped that day to my home.

They requested pictures of the gloves, the name of the dealer I'd purchased from and the approximate time of purchase. Notice no sales slip fall darald required, no hassle given, just seamless customer service!!!

I went for an hours ride today in 44 degree weather and my hands were warm and toasty.

If you're in the market for gear which Firstgear and a competing company provide similar products; I would give a GLOWING
recommendation to give the business to Firstgear!!

Life has an abundance of stressors to raise the hassle factor, my vote goes to the companies that have the product I desire AND back up their products with outstanding service after the sale.

Good to know.....

Firstgear has always been a quality act. Sold quite a bit while working and managing bike shops in Texas and California. Never had a problem..:thumbup: Glad to hear they have kept up this reputation...:2thumbs:
 
Firstgear products have always been customer pleasers and their customer service has always been very good. I use their products myself. You can have issues with anything regardless of quality or price. You can usually avoid issues by doing your research and getting a good quality product. But customer service is always king.
