• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Custom seat for Mr. White

Mr. White

New member
As many of you know, I wrecked Mr. Cognac and will pick up Mr. White tomorrow. He it a 2017 RT-S. Mr. Cognac was totaled. Got Mr. White for a good price and I can transfer some stuff to the 2017 that won't fit on a '18. I had a BRP comfort seat on Cognac but the insurance comapny paid me for it and said I would have to buy it from the salvage company that buys their wrecks.... I choose to buy another brand custom seat. I was not impressed with the BRP comfort seat.

Please give my comments if you have a custom seat other than BRP. I am looking at Ultimate and Russell Day Long. Thanks for you inputs.

:agree: I love the Airhawk! I have had mine for four years, and it has been a great help on long rides. And, WAY cheaper than an entire seat.

Hi George!
As far as I'm concerned: you can't go wrong with either of the two choices that you mentioned.
It just comes down to how much Custom-Fitting you actually need.
Happy Shopping; and a big "Welcome aboard", to Mr. White!

My 2-cents

From personal experience:

#1 (and the only #1) Russell Day Long (I've had multiple)
#2 Ultimate

In my opinion nothing else matters, they are just variants of okay to poor.

Good luck,
Rob

Isn't shopping fun, or shopping isn't fun?

I've never heard of anyone who wasn't pleased with their Russell Day Long. :2thumbs:

My progression on our 14 went like this -

Stock seat replaced by -
BRP comfort seat replaced by -
Ultimate Seat replaced by -
Russell Day Long (WINNER)

I should have known better and just started with the Russell, having had two Day Longs on my past Harleys.

Post #7 has a good report. :bowdown::bowdown: :firstplace::firstplace:

:congrats: on Mr. White. The "classy" color.:yes:

Thanks for your comments. Air Hawk....I have one and it is nice, however I need to sit back a couple of inches due to long legs. Stock seat puts me too close to handle bars so I will go with a custom to move me back. Thanks again folks.

I have the Ultimate seat and compared to the stock seat it,s great. You,ll have to decide what's best for you.Sorry about your crash but at least your ok and your already on the road again that's great.

Ultimate

I've got the Tall Boy on my RT and my wife has the Midrider on hers. We both hated the OEM's and both love the Ultimate.
