Custom Paint Jobs

I have seen some really incredible custom paint jobs posted on this site. But I would like to know what the average cost is to have a Spyder done. Is it around $500 or a couple thousand dollars? It probably depends on the design and other variables, but I just thought I would ask.

After seeing the nice jobs here, I am pretty sure that I'll have mine done, and then post it here! ;D

I believe Deb got her Candy Apple Red Cross done for $750.... which is a deal compared to what others have said they payed... although she only had the silver panels done...

Did you order a yellow or red?

I've gotten quotes from all over the place and the quote is almost always the same. Expect 2-4k for a quality paint job with 2-3 clear coats. Don't bargain shop. See their work and their shop. Nothing worse you can do to this machine than put it in the hands of a lousy painter.

Yup, I got a great price. Of course, I took all the panels off myself and he used the silver as the basecoat. I have no idea how many coats of clearcoat were put on it. The price also included my graphics, (which by the way I'm not totally in love with). I got my spyder back tonight and the work is excellent but it just isn't what I was expecting. I posted my thoughts in the thread about my paint job and I'll post photos in the morning.

Deb got a killer deal. I would say around $2500 for a custom job would be about right. :doorag:
