• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Curious about new 2013 Spyders

Wasn't info out last year in July?

hey ViperWolf be glad the info is coming in Sept, remember this is Canada....where every thing is slow and easy. We read the paper back to front and when we eat pancakes we eat the french side first:roflblack::roflblack:, they could have easily kept that info in the bucket until Dec31st lol

Asked a couple of CanAm dealers about 2013s and they seem to think not much change except for maybe a bigger motor option.
What's telling is that they have the 2013 brochures for all of the other CanAm stuff, everything except Spyder of course.

With absolutely no inside information I would predict no tremendous revolutionary changes but perhaps an ST model with upright seating position on an RS chassis and cruise control. Still better shocks for the RT line from a name brand (Fox) and perhaps a radio/GPS option for the ST/RS. Colors I predict will be Quantum Blue, Viper Red, Silver Magnesium, and two new colors Orange Yellow and Blue Green. As I said before I am just guessing, this is not based on anything but my fertile imagination!

I don't see a cruise control coming to the RS unless the fly-by-wire throttle comes along too-- and I definitely don't see that coming to the RS, seeing as that'll just add price for minimal return.

(Not to mention, I don't want no stinkin' throttle body nightmares coming to my RS!)

I agree with you about the cruise control on the RS, but it stands to reason that BRP would be giving folks an " improvement" and saving some money by using the same system on both types of bikes. Whether that improvement is wanted is another matter all together

Atleast my point of view cruise is not the must-to-have thing on my list, but more power is.
Or atleast if BRP could offer some original factory power kit.

When can we expect some more news ? How was it last year, when (on which month) they published the next model year info ?

If all we are looking at is colors and maybe a bigger motor.... No thanks. I want the motor, but with my BEST warranty running til April 30th of 2014 on my 2008 GS, I can afford to wait a little longer for a fundamental redesign of the RS.

So... What we may see is a larger motor in the RS in the current design... and that same motor in a redesign the following year? I'm not planning on dieing between now and then so I can wait a bit.

agree fully!
