Any ideas for a good cupholder? I saw Drinks2Go but did not like installing it behind me. I want something that I can install in front so I don't have to reach back for a drink.

We put the buttler cup holder on. Johnnyg has it on his RT and he just put it on my RS. This cup holder is expensive but it stays cold in this Florida hot weather. Johnnyg has had his for years. You can get it from J & P cycles. Its a 20 oz. cup. Its 59.99 with out tax and shipping. Depending on what type :spyder2: you have, depends on the size U clamp you'll need. For the RT I believe its a 3" make sure its at least 4' long and the RS you will need a 1" 1/2 and 3" long. A rubber hose that will wrap around the U Clamp and make sure you use washer and lock nuts. Its only a few $ more for this method. Your local hardware stores has this not Lowes or Home depot. The rubber hose is to keep it from scratching the handle bars Hope this helps CJ

I still fail to understand the practicality of cup holders on motorcycles, but the are cupholders for RAM mounts, so anywhere you can fit a RAM ball, you can have a cupholder.

I found this site thanks to SpyderGirl. Not a bad price at all and it can be mounted either on the handlebars or passenger grab bars.

Go to the RAM Mounts site and look for the three following part munbers;

These are the three pieces needed. One is the base that bolts to your center column (may need to be drilled out just a little to allow the bolt to go through). The other part is the cupholder, itself, and the third is the "arm" that holds the base to the cupholder. You'll also need to get a slightly longer bolt for your center column, as well as a "sleeve" for the bolt. (You can probably get both the bolt and sleeve at an Ace Hardware)

That's why I thought the relatively poor fuel economy and small fuel tank worked so well; it gave you a reason every couple of hours to get off the Spyder, tank up and drink up!

I can't drink and ride, so I may as well either stop frequently and have a drink, or put a water bladder in my mesh jacket. I much prefer the former. I know lots of folks love their cupholders, but they make no sense to me. Different strokes for different folks. :dontknow:

I don't know how you only used a cup holder out here in AZ Lamont? Wife has to use a Camelback. If we used a cup we would be stopping every 15 minutes to refill a cup.

Oh yea...

One of the first mods I wanted was a cup holder for my RT...took me until Spyderfest to find it. ISCI supplied...works great and I love it....wouldn't want to be without....

Aerostitch has a Camelback like nipple/tube that you can fit into a large water bottle.

How do you drink from a cup or can and ride? No helmet?

I get my fluids while riding via an intravenous bag mounted to my handlebars. When I stop I just disconnect it from my wrist.

The drink holder from drink2go is wonderful. I have had no issues with not being able to drink on the road. The one pictured looks kinda bad and even hokey in its placement and could get in the way of steering even. With it on the back grip it looks pretty cool and get lots of compliments!
