There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Cup Holder

Brica drink holder.I bought ours from Amazon $12 each. They swivel and you can put them anywhere in seconds.Babys RUs also stock them.I was recommended them by another Spyder owner. they work great.

I couldn't find one that I liked so I built my own. You can see it pretty good in the attached photo. I wanted to be able to hold a bottle of water or a 64oz cup.

You can't put a picture of a homemade product out there and not tell us how you did it! :lecturef_smilie:

That looks like a bicycle water bottle holder, is that correct? Can you tell us what you bought and how it's mounted? Can you also post another pic from the other side of holder? It looks nice, you did a good job.

I'll try to take some better pics when I get home. It's really pretty simple. Everything came from Walmart and Ace hardware.
This is what I bought.

I took the screws out of the left control assembly and took them to Ace hardware and bought some about 2 inches longer.
A few washers and 2 pieces of Aluminum tubing 2 inches long that will just slide over the new metric screws I bought.
These are used as shims so the control assemble stays tight after the install. The holes in the water bottle holder line
up pretty good. You have to bend the water bottle holder a little bit but overall it works great. I actually made the same
thing for the passenger. I attached the same holder to one of those bottle holder clamps that come with the bottle holder
you can buy from Camping world for $7 to $10 dollars. Don't remember for sure what it cost. It clamps to the passenger grip.
I will take some pics of both and post them.

I friend of mine said I should sell them. I also was approached at Spyderfest about selling them. I was in business for my self
for 10 years and the recession got us and now I work for the State government and I am just going to ride my spyder and
enjoy life.:ohyea: My days of getting rich are over.

I got the brita cup hold off amazon for the passenger hand grips. Because it swivels and doesn't spill the drink.

HomeMade

May not be the greatest lookin' but it works and it's out of the way,,,100_0433A.jpg :roflblack:

That's a great mod! :2thumbs: Thanks for sharing. I'm sure you would have no problem selling these if you decided to do so.

Here are the pics I promised. If you have any questions let me know. If you look close you can see little black wire ties hold the pen holder to the bike bottle holder.

I'm sorry but $81 to $149 for a cup holder is plain ridiculous!!! Really?

I hear you Frenchy :dontknow:, but I have to tell you that I rode with SEVERAL people on the way to Durango when it was 100+ degrees, dry and windy and they all, without fail, swore allegience to the Butler mug holder. One of my friends said she goes into the convenience store and does a refill on it every day on the way to work and that savings alone has paid for the mug. What I liked about it was easy in and easy out of the holder and the straw would have been nice when I was wearing the full face helmet and parched! I will probably get one of the Butler mugs as my next mod.

I think the buttler is the best thing they came out with I have one on my RT a got another one an put it on my wifes RS here in Fl you need something that will keep the ice for a few hours. well worth $75. you can order just the mug from Buttler. I went by the local hardware store an picked up a U clamp 3'' with a rudder black hose that slips over the U bolt, then put two spacer on each end then put a flat plate over the ends then put the two nuts an mounted the buttler with there mounts. It has worked fine for two years on my rt, Oh the RS takes a 2'' U bolt. Here are the pics. Two are with the RS are on the right, and two on the RT on the left side.

With those that clamp onto the passenger hand grips, by careful. I have seen a number of posts from folks that had the rubber coating tear as a result of use of those clamps.

I agree that in excess of $100.00 is a bit much for a cup holder......but i ordered the large Butler cup holder and cup and it is really a quality piece of equipment, and it keeps my drink cold for about five hours and i am very happy with it. I am one of those people that can't go very long without something to quench my thirst and so far the Butler system is doing a great job. Just my .02 cents worth, sometime you actualy get what you pay for. Thank you Mike, your phone assistance really helped, and thank you Faran for showing this great cup holder to me.
