Cup Holder for Corbin Spyder Seat

Has anybody that has the Corbin Spyder seat ordered the high dollar cup holder separate? How long did it take for you to get it after your order was placed? I finally convinced myself that I was going to do it. I wanted to get something that looks better than the $5 Walmart holder I now have for the passenger.

When I first called about the cup holder I was told that it was molded plastic and was an "off the shelf" item. Knowing this I expected it to arrive in a few days. Well two weeks later my credit card gets processed for it so I call to make sure it was on it's way. I was told (last Monday) that it was in shipping and would go out that day. When I asked why so long since I placed my order they said that it had to be put together. :dontknow: "But, it was going out today."

As of today it had not arrived so I called Corbin again to check on the status and get the tracking number. Girl takes my information and puts me on hold. When she comes back on the line she said it "was in shipping and going out today." :gaah: I couldn't get any explanation why I was told that same thing last week or why it was taking so long. Just that it was going out this afternoon.

I know the $160 price they charge for the dang molded plastic cup holder is out outrageous and I should have my head examined for buying one. But, what I don't know is why it is taking so long to get and why they have to lie to me about it.

A corporation as big as Corbin appears to be should know that customers talk to one another and bad news travels like a forest fire out of control and good news travels about as fast as frozen Hershey chocolate kept in the freezer.

An they sit around wringing their hands as to why they are not making sales goals monthly.

I can tell you that sell a boat load of them in the Ormond Beach Location and they have trouble keeping them in stock. Well worth the wait, they look great and function well. I had them install mine a few weeks ago with my seat and it was their last one in stock.

I ordered my Corbin Seat with the Arms and Cupholder last week. I know it is a little pricey, but like you think it will look much better than some of the other cup holders that I have seen. I am aniously awaiting for it to arrive which they said would be about 4 weeks. Would it be possible for you to post a picture of your bike so I can see what the seat looks like with the arms on it. :nopic:

By the way, I love that Bomber Jacket color. We looked at it when bought our Corbin, but it didn't look nearly as good on our black Spyder. Looks great on yours. :thumbup:

Very nice, I got the traditional black version of the bomber jacket letter with yellow stitching/piping. The arms look a lot nicer than on the web site. I'm glad I went with them now. Thanks for posting the pictures.

I just called Corbin about seats and I will be getting one but I'm waiting till the 1st of july to place my final order because there is the Hollister bike rally and I'm only about 2.5 hrs away from there and I'll get free install and a 10 percent discount the lady said all the items I wanted were off the shelf so no sweat. now we'll see

Finally got a tracking number out of Corbin. Cup holder won't be here until next week. :gaah: And, they sent it signature required. :gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah: Now one of us has to take off work to sign for it.:gaah:
