• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. We happen to run across another Spyder Rider couple here in Forsyth,Mo. and they asked if we were going to Cuba for the Rally, WHAT RALLY !!!! First time hearing about such. Why has there been no posting of Cuba on SL. There are post of Spyders In The Redwoods, Durango Rally, Ride in Wa.State by Murphy Brown and all these other happenings but nothing about Cuba.

What gives and should we not be supporting . ALL events ?????????

It is called Spyder Jam and is June 19-22. I saw it posted here, but not much more about it.
i plan on attending.it is about a 2hr ryde for me.
it will not likely be nearly as big as SpyderFest but it looks like they have some fun things planned.

thats where spyderfest started,i was there 2010 and it was grate.and 2011.grate bunch ,but spyderfest got too big for that small of a towen,so know they have both events ones just smaler but still fun.:chat:

Sounds like it is going to be similar to the 1st three Spyderfests, (kinda back to the roots) with organized rides, and small town attitude. Wish I could be there but we have family commitments out of state that week.

We plan on being there at least one day also, Saturday. Great group of people. Wife bought her 2014 Rt last month. Hope to see a bunch of y'all there. :ohyea:

Ray I AGREE...everyone should get EQUAL coverage and we should support as many events as we can...A lot of work goes into each one, no matter how big or how small.

That's why I started this schedule so I can keep all the events straight in my mind

And YES we are trying hard to attend Spyder Jam...it sounds like a whole lot of fun....many events and alot of food....having alot of vendors is nice BUT having fun to me is just as important..

What started out as one event in Cuba, Mo in 2010 has GROWN to many events…and for those of you who need to plan (me included) I have started a task that I thought I could share with you

2014 Spyder Events:

“Destination Spyder” Daytona Beach , March 2014 ( done)
“Spyder on the Bayou" Louisiana, March 2014 (done)
"Laughlin River Run" Nevada, April 2014 (done)

“Spyderfest” Springfield MO, April/May 2014 (done)
“Spyder Rally” Myrtle Beach, May 2014 (done)
"Gathering of the Spyders" Texas, Memorial Day,May 2014

Still on calendar:
“Spyder Jam” Cuba,MO , June 2014
“Spyder Owners Event” Durango,CO , June 2014
“Heart of Washington Ride” Washington State, June 2014
"Spyderfest"Magog Quebec, July 2014

“Spyder Rendezvous” Wisconsin, August 2014
“Spyders in the Redwoods”,California, August 2014
“Spyderquest" Lake George, NY; September 2014
“Spyder Palooza” Missouri, September 2014
“Hill Country Spyder Ride”, Texas; October 2014
"Ohio Spyder Rally" Ohio, October 2014

“Destination Spyder” Biketoberfest, Daytona Beach; October 2014
“Spyder in the Smokies”North Carolina, October 2014

Yes, I agree too! Spyder Palooza isn't getting much attention on here either! It doesn't just affect Spyder Palooza, but other vendors as well! And these vendors advertise on here! And more importantly it affects our wounded veterans (for Spyder Palooza) and what other event supports another great cause!!!

We plan on driving up Saturday for a short visit. Taking all the back roads through the Mark Twain National Forest will be fun.

Good luck to Cowtown on this. We need more events to serve a rapidly growing community and not all of us like to attend mega events

One note. it is hosted by the same dealership that started Spyderfest, but it's not the same thing. they're 2 completely seperate entities. essentially it's Cowtown realizing how much they miss Spyderfest and making their own. me personally, I don't see the reason of having 3 rally's specifically for the Spyder in the same state (SpyderFest, SpyderPalooza, and another that's up off of the 70). after a while it'd be tough to have people and vendors keep coming back to the same area multiple times a year. I personally think it's beest to have regional rallies so that nobody is stepping on anyone else's toes.

IMHO (in my humble opinion).............the more the merrier:yes:.............they are scheduled several months apart so I will try to make all of them, even if I can't make every day of each event!:2thumbs:
