• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are the consequences of changing the oem coolant temperature sensor with an after market one?

Ecu may not take the change, they are set to BRPS setting . Ck with a teck. Yours should still be ok unless you boled out of temp setting.

That would depend on if the replacement one was the correct part or not. If you chose one of a different range or electrical configuration, that could have lots of knock on effects. If you use a proper replacement part, there should be no effect on the bike or its warranty. You do not have to use BRP parts. Lookups for other brands are pretty spotty though and hard to cross reference.

Try this..!!

a second temp guage and sending unit. If you doubt the exsisting one. If your looking for a cheaper one (brp oem) you can get them online. Question still is why..?? :dontknow:
