• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cruise Control randomly cancels

bracke

New member
I have not started to investigate yet but on my 2012 RT the Cruse will only stay on for a few seconds before cancelling. Its still on but does not maintain speed. Suggestions before I take things apart or do I just need to head in to the shop?

If your foot is in close proximity to the brake (touching), that may be the cause. It does not take much to activate brake, kill cruise.

I agree-- My big clodhoppers tend to touch the brake on my base RT model-

When I ride the wifes RT-S with floorboard I don't seem to have the problem as there is more room for my feet, but the regular pegs on my RT with work boots tend to hit the flange of the brake pedal (link-arm) and the slight movement of the brake kicks the cruise off... maybe someday I'll get some floorboards...
