• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cruise control problems

Have Audiovox ccs-100 installed. Has been working fine up till today, when it began shutting itself off (light on control goes out). Will turn back on using the switch, then may or may not engage, then turn off again. Time in operation is getting shorter.

Any and all ideas appreciated. Audiovox site is no help.

Thanks in advance . . . . :'(

<< hijack alert >> The Audiovox automotive unit mentioned above has been modified and installed on a number of bikes. I'm familiar with Honda ST1300 and VTX1800s. Google the cruise make and model and you'll find plenty available ... on eBay... for $100 or less. Typically, small mods are required... brackets and the like. You can run it without a vacuum reserve (some have) or you can build your own mini-vacuum tank out of 2" PVC pipe for very little cost.

I have a Goldwing with factory cruise. I will use a throttle lock on the Roadster as it fits my needs... an occasional rest... not extended driving without both hands on the bars.

Where do i find a electronic cruise control? Is yours the only one out? Hope you get it working properly.

Re: Cruise control problems - update

Problem solved (I think) - apparent loose connection in harness.

re: 'hijack' - correct. Our use is not so much to ride one-handed, but for hand/wrist fatigue abatement.

Looking for feedback....
How do you like your Audiovox speed control? Does it maintain one speed on hills?
I have arthiritis and I'm exploring my options to make travel easier.
Do you have any pointers for install on the Spyder that you would be willing to share?

Thanks!
