• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cruise Control- Getting it perfected

I just did a search and I don't see such a unit. How about a link to what you're buying?

I Am on the road and doing this on phone so can not copy and paste url
If you google electronic audiovox cruise control it will find vendors and correct place on audiovox website

Thanks for all the input:thumbup:
I already have the audiovox ccs-100.
Is the optional vacuum tank needed on the Spyder?
I will make sure to take extra care when I seal the head unit.

I the vacuum tank helps the unit maintain the speed when cruising up hills and moutains. I made my vacuum tank out of PVC pipe material. The Aduiovox CCS100 works great. Its a little time consumming to install, but well worth it.

How about that! This is a new item from Audiovox. They did not have this all electric unit when we did our vacuum units. Looks like a more compact unit (though there is plenty of room on the Spyder for either system). Servo CC's are usually more positive than vacuum units and you would not need the extra vacuum canister.

Still, on the Spyder I am not sure you would notice much opperational difference between the 2 types.

This is not a complete kit like the CCS-100 vacuum unit. You still need the control switch to complete this installation. Looks like these go for about $50. Since it is the same control switch you would still need to water-proof it.

I wonder what the vacuum hose is used for. It may be that manifold vacuum is used as a data input. Don't know what else they would need it for.

Lamont, let's get one of these, you pay for it and I'll install it on your Spyder. We'll silicone the snot out of the control switch....what do you say?....

Hey, Lamont -

Hope yours works as good as ours! We did the bracket-on-the-box-lip the first time (thanks for the detail pics). No issues so far.
