• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cracked Header pipe

Babymoose

RT-S PE#639
Any one had one yet on an RT? I took mine in for it's first service 2 days ago. As I pulled in to my dealers lot, the salesman was there unloading some quads, he came over to me & said "did you put a different pipe on or something?. It seems to have a bit of a growl". I told him no. When I talked to the service manager I told him that the fuel mileage seemed to be bad - got the usual "oh, these RT's are heavier & pushing more surface through the air". I said no it's as bad or worse than it was on day one. Any way they phoned me back and said I had a cracked header pipe. I can't remember which cylinder but I think he said it was on a weld. They said it warranty and have the pipe on order and should have it fixed early next week. I will re-post when I get the finished repairs. My better half has been ryding it the last 7or 8 hundred kilometers so I don't know when it started running bad. Just curious if this is the first cracked header pipe.

Not an epidemic, but sounds like we have 2....

Thanks for that I will check tomorrow to see if it is the same. They are going to lend me their RT-s for the weekend.

Might be a good idea for all RT ryders to check this weld as pictured in the above post. Our symptoms weren't that noticeable and the crack on ours (in the same weld as in the pic) wasn't that visible. You could have this & not even know it.
As far as I know there have only been three reported to BRP. Good idea to keep an eye on it though.
