• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cowtown = WOWTown!

Sorry Lamont, we are keeping you on the east of the Mississippi. I know you hail from California but you now call home Tennessee. That is where your house is, that is where your wife is and that is where the BBQ is. LOL :D

You Go Girl! Don't let Lamont slide on this one!

Then again, he did say "Technically". I guess we could give him a Technical. But if you look for his pin it was in East Tennessee where it belongs!

I did notice one thing though, his wife just barely beat out the BBQ in your listing order....

Kansas was there and that is west and if the map is correct I believe Yazz is west of Mo.

You got us again MoLee, good point they are indeed west, not much but still a bit west,,Darn..

Wow, I am truly sorry I was not able to make this event. Perhaps things will work out better for me next year and I will be able to mix it up with the rest of y'all.

There were no pins in Kansas (on the map). I looked late in the day not long before we started out on the ride Saturday.

Yazz is from Texas but east of the west side of Missouri and east of some Missouri pins in the map.

I am surprised that there was not any real participation from west of Missouri.

Racing!? Who said anything about Racing!? :dontknow: Certainly upstanding citizens like Doc and SethO would never consider such an illegal act! :lecturef_smilie:

Here is how it was explained to me. "There is NOTHING ILLEGAL about ROAD TESTING these fine machines!"

Sounds reasonable.....Right!?

While it is true that some ROAD TESTED their Spyder more than others, and there were those who watched as the TESTING was performed, this does not necessarily constitute a racing event.

The BRP sales rep sat next to me while the "TESTERS" went by and mumbled something about how this was not endorsed by BRP. Not sure what he meant by that remark.

I watched all the testing and in my opinion, Doc's Spyder tested best with SethO's machine testing a close second. I would have liked to see Deb "TEST" with SethO as I think she had the 3rd best "Test" runs and might have been close to his machine in "Testing" abilities.

All-in-all, I'd say it was a good day of testing there at Cowtown. I myself had the urge to test my Spyder until I saw Deb shutting down (I mean, out testing) several others. My fragile ego could not take the hit if I lost (I mean, tested poorly). :D

Always something to test, doc got me on the start when it counted so my hat is off to him he got me and I had to pay up. I think after we got setup up it went really well as far as testing went as safe as you can in the setup we had to work with. A very big thanks goes out to Doc, dave, forest, jim, Dan and deb for helping out with the setup and keeping everyone involved safe.

Len is the man,Aaron, Vannesa, gene and virgina all deserve a big thanks for all the help on this event.

SethO. I see your travel map shows no visit to the great state of Tennessee! You need to get that ride fixed and take a trip!

Stop by east Tennessee sometime!

Come on out! Some of the greatest riding in the world around these parts. Some famous (Dragon), some not, but all good!

There is some excellent riding around Cowtown as well. Maybe next year we can spread it to a few more days and get some more riding in.

Doc and I tore up some pavement coming in. Thanks Doc, great riding and an excellent time! We need to do that again!

Sorry Forrest, glad you don’t mind riding by yourself for a bit. And glad you showed up at the end of that stretch as well.

I guess there are 2 BBQ meanings in these posts.

1-The event at Lamont's. Unbelievably Awesome! Don't miss this one! And the food is really good too! (Come and help us keep Forrest out of the ditch). :opps:

2-The BBQ on Route 66 that Lamont has pictured. VERY VERY GOOD! Friendly people and A LOT OF FOOD! You don't want to miss this one either!

I guess the moral of this story is; if you hook up with other SpyderLovers you just can't have anything but a GREAT TIME! :ohyea: (Plus-Deb is NEVER WRONG!)

It's a Beautiful Thing!

Got to love barbque and spyderlovers it doesn't get any better than that!

Ok, I stand corrected. I did think it strange at the time but sure seemed like your pin on the map was just east of the Missouri line. My mistake.

Still, I am very surprised that no one from Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc. came.
Don't know where the pin went but Teacherbob was there because I talked to him and he posted as being home.

It was hard getting the pin in just the right spot without my glasses on. Just can't trust my old eyes these days.:joke:

It is interesting that folks closer to Cuba didn't come. I bet more of them will come next year.;)
