• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Called Len at cowtown to see if I had a good deal on a very low milage 2010 RT demo. He said that it was a good deal but he would make me a better one. I had a 2008 GS to trade, he said no problem. I gave him a list of what I had done to the GS and the mileage it had and we came to an agreement. I trailered it to Cuba from Dallas. I am happy to report that everything you have read on the service at Cowtown is correct. The mods were done that I asked for and on time. Len set the new Elka shocks up and had them installed along with new filter and cold air intake. Everything on the spyder was just great. Sara handled the paper work with ease. Then it was time for a quick test ride, the difference between the old GS and the new RT is unbelieveable. Everything is just so much smoother, the shifting, the ride, the overall feel of the bike. Comfort is the word that comes to mind.

If you can get to Cowtown for any work you need done, do it. Everyone was nice, friendly, and very helpful. Now all I need to do is make sure that I will be in Cuba for my 6000 mile service time. I think it will be around Spiderfest.

Too busy riding to take pics, 300 miles so far, and now it is raining. Got the Gray/Silver, looks dark until the sun hits it, then it is a shiny silver metalflake. Got lots of buttons to figure out :gaah:

will try and get pics before I go riding wed after it quits raining.

Doc your machine is a museum piece. BRP should trade you even for a new one. Just think of all the testing that has been done by that machine. The computer memory is a gold mine of info.

:congrats: on your new RT. You are going to like it a lot. For me, it was also a world of difference going from the GS to the RTS.
