On a road trip to Indiana from Florida on BigRed (2012 RT). Stock shocks suck. Does anyone know if cowtown keeps stage 1 in stock? If so, will be setting there first thing in the morning!:banghead:
I guess I will state the obvious. Why don't you call them and ask:dontknow:
Guzzi,
Yes, they can do it.![]()
Stage 1s are on backorder at the moment. None in stock at cowtown nor at Elka as of two days ago.
Kinda hard when they are closed! Am in Auburn, Al at motel. I can go on to Indiana, or cut up thru Memphis to Cuba, and take a chance they have the Elka's in stock. Thanks for your help!:sour:
Or you can get 4 different answers from 4 different people. None of which are at Cowtown.![]()
Its really not that Trickie Dick. I was talking to Len from Cowtown about another matter and mentioned to him a spyderlover was looking for elkas and would detour to cowtown this AM if he had them. He said to have him come in, he will work it out.
So, why in the world would I tell somebody to go out of there way to get service without being told it was ok to do so. :lecturef_smilie:
My intent was to help another spyderlover and was in the position to get him the information he wanted late at night. I hope he got what he wanted despite the peanut gallery comments.
I did say my info was as of Wednesday when I called cowtown, and spoke to parts to order Elkas myself. Hardly peanut gallery.
Talking to 'parts' and talking to Len are two different things. If you want a correct answer to your question, you ask Len. He'll take them off of a bike that's on the showroom floor to make someone happy and then add them back on when the new shipments arrive. The parts people can't make that kind of call. Hopefully this post will end the bickering.
I speak from many an experience with Len. If 'he' tells someone that he can make it right, it will be right. That's one of the reasons that he sells more out - of - state - Spyders than anyone else in the country.
