• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Couple of lighting questions

2012 RT Limited -- headlights stopped working. 30 amp fuse shows zero resistance on multimeter so it"s probably functional. Anyone know if there is something like a fusible link in the circuit that might be frosted. It is possible that the switch gave up the ghost, but that's a job for a more talented mechanic.

Also, 2015 RT -- left front fender light burned out. Removing the old one crumbled it so that's unidentifiable. Anyone have a bulb or part number?

As for the headlights. They are suppose to come on when the engine starts. So controlled by one of the load shedding relays. That's likely your problem. Your owners guide should tell you the location.

Don't remember that bulb number. Someone else will chime in. But I do remember it is a common bulb.
EDIT: Sorry missed that you where talking about a different machine for the fender light. Depending on the fender it's a common bulb or a very expensive LED.

Remove the right light and that should supply you with information:ohyea::ohyea:
 
I would revisit the fuse, put your probes together I usually get some reading .01 or so, then check the fuse, you should see the same. You also should be able to see if the link is burnt.

Headlight was relay #710001778. Lights are controlled by two relays in the frunk fuse box.

Marker lamps are Toshiba 12V 5W W5W.

What step did you take to remove the fender marker bulb? I thought those were led and the complete housing had to be replaced?
 
Marker light removal

Surprisingly simple for Canam. With thumbs side by side, push in and up on bottom half of housing. Entire housing moves up about 1/2 inch. Slide fingernail or knife blade under bottom edge and carefully pry housing free. Bulb holder is accessed in back, although challenging for large fingers due to short wiring harness. Bulb is not LED, by the way, but halogen.
 
Well according to post #1, he has two bikes, a 2012 & 2015. 2012 has the headlight problem and the 2015 has the fender light out.
