That was my mantra this morning as I took the GF's Vespa out for a spin around the parking lot.
Hadn't been on two-wheels in over a year-- and that was only for a few hours, hadn't been on two-wheels before that ride for many years longer. Whatever "muscle memory" I had before was completely shot this morning, I might as well have been riding for the first time ever. :yikes:
Just man... ridiculously dramatic difference in handling. I know people who spent years on a bike go "What's countersteering?", thinking they do it all natural and stuff. But when you come off of ten thousand miles worth of direct steering, riding a bike ISN'T as easy as riding a bike.
pps:
Still, was fun to putter around on it a little bit, reminded me that as much as I love three wheels, two is just its own unique brand of happiness as well.
Unfortunately, since I got to ride her scoot, the GF insisted on borrowing the Spyder for the first time ever, she liked it a little too much for my tastes / our wallet. Gonna have to nip that in the bud! :joke:
