• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Couldn't stand it any more!!

Been dying to go for a ryde, but life has been ridiculously hectic and Bugeyes was "buried" behind a couple of other cars away from our house (due to potential flooding at our place). I finally just couldn't stand it, had to walk up the hill (a 5 minute uphill walk is difficult when your hip is giving out!) and move a couple of cars around, get Bugeyes unburied and go for a little ryde!

Suddenly I felt like a million bucks! Seriously the greatest therapy ever! :D Even despite the wet seat and the dark grey clouds above, the ryde just revived me!

It helps that this Spyder has the greatest exhaust ever made (the obnoxious Two Brothers Racing twin carbon fiber pipe). Really made me grin as I heard it start up. I really wish my triple sounded as good as the twin. The triple sounds more like a bucket of rocks being shaken real hard. The twin sounds amazing, like a proper (albeit loud) motorcycle. Don't get me wrong, I love them both!

I've gotta agree wholeheartedly (literally & pun intended!!)

Altho we don't have quite the same 'cold & wet' issues atm in my part of Australia, I've always said that 'an hour on the Spyder is better than one of the (many) doses of pain meds I get to take each day!'

Just a few days after emergency heart surgery (last Thursday) I had been cooped up for way too long & so decided to show all my specialists that it really is better for me to be out doing rather than lying around feeling sorry for myself!! Sooo, on Monday morning I 'snuck out' for an hour of riding my Spyder & on my return they just couldn't believe the improvement in all the significant obs/readings they took - & I hadta talk fast to explain what I'd been up to that had made me miss taking one of the scheduled handfuls of meds that they insist I take a half dozen times each day! :opps:

So at least for me, an hour on the Spyder REALLY IS better'n a dose of all medication they insist I take! ;)

Oh so true. I find myself needing a dose of wind therapy just about every day.

I'm working in Waikoloa on the Big Island all this week and I'm actually having withdrawal symptoms being away from the F3 for so long.

Friday, please hurry up and get here!!!

Good on ya! Pulled mine out on Saturday and rode about 50 miles! Life was much better after that!

I can't stand not riding, all the snow needs to melt and get the salt off the roads!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess I better install the Battery Tender cable So the battery doesn't die of boredom!!!:yikes::yikes:

Great to hesr...

Love those " What the h**** lets ryde" stories. Glad you were able to get that much needed therapy...:2thumbs: don't wait to long for the next session...:lecturef_smilie:

Took mine out today

Dug mine out and took it for a spin around the neighborhood to charge the battery. Felt a lot better. Got some serious snow here in the DC area, but its melting.

Went into my garage, I looked at my Spyder that hasn't been moved for about 7 months, paused for 2.5 seconds and came back inside happy. Quite the therapy

I am having spyder fever withdrawals :gaah::yikes: ...........and there is only 2 more months till April 2nd. Hurry up Spring!

I also have snow on lawn, but not as much as in the DC area, and other parts of the east.

I feel so privileged that I can ride all year round here, I would go nuts if I had to park my Spyder up and not go riding.
Reminds me of a sign I once saw, "Have you ever seen a Spyder parked outside a Therapists Office?"
I would need a therapist if I couldnt ride my Spyder lol

Excuses,excuses

In the winter here we very often get "the warm, before the storm"----- took advantage of the clear roads and mid 50's temps and started up the :spyder2: with the excuse to go to home depot and buy a door stop ( really)..
It started with one touch and ran perfect after over 2 months of sitting ( charged twice a week). Felt good to get some "wind therapy ".
