There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Could use some feedback please

Asked this question previously but no replies. I won't waste anyone's time with a third try. My NEW, (200 miles) F3 LTD SS rides stiff and I feel EVERY bump. I "thought", as a cruiser/tourer, it would/should be a little more forgiving and smoother. Am I wrong? Do the F3-T's and F3-L's come stock all stiffened up? And lastly, knowing nothing about these shocks, are they adjustable? Thanks for ANY feedback!

Just for the sake of someone replying to you i will, i hate to see someones question just completely ignored, my response is ................ How the hell do i know i have an RTL.

You are welcome.

Be glad your not in Louisiana :roflblack::roflblack::2thumbs: (Our roads prepare kids to ride in rodeo)
Maybe your just into the too new & hyper vigilant to all your feeling (nerves):dontknow::dontknow: Aside from riding another F3 on same roads how you gonna know? The dealer can show you more about your shocks, also double check tire pressures. :2thumbs:

Here is what I can find for answers to your questions. The R3 T/Ltd has upgraded shocks front and rear. 'Rear shock type / Travel SACHS shock absorber with adjustable air preload (manually) / 5.2 in. (132 mm)' is from a spec sheet found on line. Maybe there is too much air in the rear shock for your weight. I assume you have not ridden a Spyder previously. There is more 'road feedback' than on a motorcycle.

Shocks

I am of no help as well, I have only seen one
F3 on the road here in northern CA. however I have done
5 seats for them from all over the USA I will post pictures later
good luck in finding out the answers you need. I bet if the shocks
are not adjustable that there are some that are that you could replace them with.

This is probably the result of BRP trying to stiffen the suspension up because heavy people and those riding 2up would bottom out with the stock suspension of the 2015 F3's when going over bumps,

Sounds like the adjustable air suspension on the RT might be appropriate for the F3 as well. Is it an available option ?
I ask because I don't know. I'd prefer answers to snide remarks.

How about some more information.

How much do you weigh?

What are the current spring pre-load settings?

What are your tire pressures?

This will help power the crystal ball!

There you go....

Answers...:clap:You should start with the tire pressure. These machines run on lower pressure. Then see the shocks, manual should have settings if adjustable . Steering will be affected by the tire pressure but if in doubt and the nanny didn't tell you have the dps checked...

2016 F3T & Limited have a air valve under passenger seat right side

Hi,
Here is the BRP 2016 F3T & Limited parts list showing a air bladder like RT's have with a air valve at top right side under passenger seat.
I believe RT's air bladder recommended 20-90# air pressure, checked with a tire pressure gauge.
Let air down to 30# & watch how much rear ride height lowers, adjust air pressure to your preference of softer ride.
http://parts.spyder.brp.com/Index.a...gp1ancne7&catalog_id=0&language_id=1&siteid=1
Push down ignition key & turn to the right to release the passenger seat latch, lift up passenger seat to see air valve with a cover cap on it.
Oh, check front tires air pressure at 17#, rear tire 25# should ride a little softer with recommended tire pressures.
Does your stock curved at top shield give you enough wind protection without a lot of wind noise around helmet?
Enjoy your 2016 F3 Limited SS!!

I weigh 170, 5'8". When I picked up the bike the tire pressure was exactly what manual said. Have to check again. Looking up shock info in manual now

Your welcome, glad I could help a little.
A puzzle why BRP engineers designed/put same type curved at top shield on 2016 F3T & Limited as the terrible wind noise/no protection curved one on 2015 F3.
CalSci will have 2016 F3T & Limited shields available end of May after testing.
Mark said shields will be like the 2015 F3 shields, with wider spaced mount holes, (no holes or mount at bottom center of shields), different heights.

Enjoy.

With only 200 miles on the bike my advice is: ride more! There is no way you can get an accurate assessment on how the bike will perform when you're barely 1/3 into breaking the engine in. With that said... in these very early days of ownership you can play with your tire pressures. Also, check the air preload on the rear shock. When I got mine home the dealership had it set exactly as I instructed: ZERO psi!<dripping with sarcasm>I bumped it up to 30psi and the ride is dreamlike now. But you should ride more and worry less. Shocks, as with everything, get looser and softer over time. Your bike's suspension probably still smells like bubble wrap!

As a side note, your owner's manual does cover these questions about your front and rear shocks.

What does dps stand for?:dontknow:

Dps...dynamic power steering. .electrically helps the steering. If you have a death grip on the bars it will make your ryde very twitchy but should be working fine.
