• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin Trunk

Has anyone purchased the rear trunk from Corbin? Just curious how large it is and how it looks/works. Seams like a lot of money, but if it is large enough, maybe I wouldn't need to buy any side saddlebags.

Hey Fellow-Capital-Area-Ryder!
Consider the GIVI Top Case as well. I've seen Firefly's and another ryder's and they seem pretty good.

Ok. I will check it out. I'm just not sure which way to go. I like the looks of the corbin trunck along with the idea of the built-in backrest for a passenger and the extra tail/brake light as well!

Pllayman installed one on his :spyder2:this week. He came by the house to show me last night. Looked really good. He doesn't have any saddlebags on his:spyder2: I don't know how much room you are looking for, but this one is big enough for a 15" laptop.

I saw the setup on Joan's last week and wow do those things look SHARP. One concern is that the hinges inside the trunk were showing a lot of surface rust - something I would be none to happy about. Can't believe for that price that Corbin wouldn't use stainless steel.

The hinges are the ony complaint I have about the Corbin set-up. I will be contacting them soon and will post what they say. There is a year warrenty on it all, so I have some time to explore the why's and wherefore's...Joan

I was talking about the smugglers trunk. Not the trunkbox by Corbin.

I have the Corbin bags and smuggler trunk. Love the looks of the grouping. The smuggler doesn't have a lot of storage space, it's great for gloves, glasses, purse (sorry guys) or a small briefcase. It was designed with a laptop in mind. I love the fact that I can pop it on and off, if I need to put the passenger seat on. Oh, the smuggler also has a small backrest on the front which is fairly nice.:doorag: If you would like more pics send me a message with your email address (I can't figure out how to post pics on here).

I have the smuggler's trunk (NOT the saddlebags) and like it very much. I think it completes the look of the Spyder when I am riding single. Plus, I can put my rain gear, cable lock, can of Plexus and 2 microfibers, extra gloves, 2 hats, 2 sunglasses, and still have room for more. It's deceivingly large for its size. And swapping out the smuggler's for the passenger saddle is (literally) a snap.
