• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin Seat questions

For those of you that have the corbin seat how do you like it? I'm looking at getting the front and rear seat with a backrest for the rear seat. Does anyone know if this can be moved if the passenger isn't riding? If you don't mind saying whats your setup and how much was it?

Yes, the backrest can be removed.

I like the seat but hated the customer service... see my "Now Mine..." thread in the Mods forum.

I bought the standard, black leather seat, one backrest and heater for driver. Cost was right at $900.

You can see Corbin's pricing on their website. Go to the Spyder seat page then open the ORDER tab. You have to select one rear seat (heated or not heated) and one front seat (heated or not heated). I see they have a number of cover and trim options but you probably have to call them for the special colors or stitch patterns. Backrests are found under the ACCESSORIES tab. Click on the style backrest you want to get its pricing.

Maybe you could track Corbin down at one of the motorcycle events this year. When they showed up at Gatlinburg this past summer, they were giving a discount (25% off I think) and free installation. For anyone who really wants Corbin seats, saddlebags, etc. that deal can't be beat.

Corbin Seat

Bought mine used on one of the forums, brand new for $600. I had a corbin on another bike but it felt very hard and took about 2000 miles to really break in. The one for the spyder feels good from the get-go. Mama likes it too!

i have corbin front and rear plus back rests for both, and yes you can move them front to rear and rear to front get them you will love them it was $1000.00 for everything but worth it :2thumbs::spyder:

Thanks for the responses i am most likely going to order in the next couple weeks but only getting 1 backrest since i only ride 2 up every once in a while. Just wanted to see if i would be able to move it so i could use it while riding solo. I plan on getting front/rear non heated and 1 backrest just have to decide wich one i want lol so many choices ughhh lol

We to have Corbin seats and a back rest - non-heated - Live in Fl why a heated seat I asked myself the other day when it was 34 degerees out - Love em - and Momma likes em too :2thumbs:

I have the front and rear heated Corbin seats with one backrest - got it at the Hollister Rally for $1,000. I love the seat and it was great that they did the install for me right there on site for no extra cost. As far as follow-up customer service (for issues I had with my fleetliner bags) -- it leaves much to be desired. I still give a thumbs up for the Corbin seat (and fleetliner saddlebags).
