• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin or OEM "Comfort Seat"?

Thinking about changing the RS-S seat out for the BRP "Comfort Seat" but the Corbin has a nice panel that lifts for gas-tank access. Anyone try either of these? I hear the Corbin isn't that comfortable? Anyone willing to sell either?

i love my Corbin heated seat had one on my RS and now on my RT but i have never tried the Comfort Seat

I debated a long time on which one. I eventually just installed a Ultimate seat Lowrider for my RS

I have a Corbin on my F650 since 2005 and just got my Corbin for the Spyder this Wednesday.
So far, only just one ride on the new saddle, but I already find it SO much more comfortable than the OEM and if I can go as long distance on this one as I have on the other then that's alright by me.

Have used both the Corbin and the Comfort seat.

:ani29:: Corbin--People either like or do not like the Corbin pretty much instantly. The Corbin is hard compared to the Comfort seat and gives good support. Have had Corbins on both my 2008 and 2010's. 60,000 seat miles on the two combined. Cost is about $900 with a back rest for the driver. Add heat or special color options and you run up the bill even more. The gas door is very convenient and I like the fact that you do not have to raise the seat to fill the tank.

:ani29:: BRP Comfort--This is a softer more plush feeling seat. Compared to the Corbin, I like the way it feels on the tush. It gives an additional 2" seat room for the driver. Have installed these on the 2009 and 2011 :ani29:'s. The cost is currently around $500.

Either one beats the OEM seats which are way to soft for my liking.

corbin vs brp comfort seat

i can only speak of gs,rs seats but having ridden both of these, i'd vote for the corbin.

Save yourself from spending the Big $$$$ and get yourself an Airhawk,
you will enjoy the ride for hours without breaking the bank.

I have a 2012 RSS with a Corbin seat. I would not trade for any seat, it's the best for me !

I had an ultimate seat and was not a fan. It is better than the stock seat, but what isn't. I found the best money spent is on a Russell Day Long seat. They are custom made to you and your riding position. Yes they are not the cheapest option, but I did not want to spend $400-$500 on a Corbin to be one of the people that don't like them. For a few more dollars you can have a seat that is money back gaurenteed to be comfortable.

Thanks for all the replies. Ended up snagging an OEM Comfort Seat (per Sypdergirl's recommendation) for $380 online, new-in-box.
