Corbin must be happy

I think Corbin is pretty happy they showed up in Gatlinburg as they are making a number of sales, mainly seats and saddlebags. I know of 4 Spyders staying in the same motel as we are that got new saddlebags AND seats. :shocked: I have only seen about three or four Spyders with the Industries 7 GIVI system. There seems to be many times more Corbin saddlebags out here. So many that I am getting used to the look, I'm still not in love with the look but I'm getting used to it.

Nancy is considering the Givi system. Like the look, side opening bags, and ability to remove. Of course the look of the brackets without the bags is not so hot. Wish mounts were built in, like many sport-tourers.

After following a spyder with corbin bags all day yesterday I am now sold except for the price part of it. It will take some time but I ow like them enough to work towards getting me a set.

I think Corbin bags would be nice for $1,000.00, or even less. But; their asking price is a bit crazy, if you ask me. But, hey; If you are into the full 'Touring Look', what better option is there? opcorn:

Didn't make it to Gatlinburg, but leaving today for Fayetteville, AR for the BBB. 100,000 bikes and great weather. Plus OCC will be there! Anyway, printed about 1000 business cards with a picture of a Spyder and specs on one side and our favorite web site address on the other. (Wish that BRP had already created that incentive, bonus, reward program if we sold one)

Okay, reason I'm commenting to this thread is that I trust you "BJT" and think that our Christmas present to ourselves will be Corbin Bags... I like the look and after trying to cram 3 days worth of gear into the
front, and a modified backrest bag I've shown on this site before... we need the space. Plus hopefully the rider pegs are repositioned a little forward or at least down on the Corbin set-up. Did anybody notice this ?????

My next roadtrip is the Ouachita Mountains last of October, should be cooler and leaves in the South of Arkansas and Oklahoma should be peaking..... wish I could have corbin bags by then.

another way to solve all issues

A better way to solve your problem might be a Bushtec trailor.

I have the smaller Roadstar model and would not go any distance without it.

At the moment its got two tents, one medium one large, two sleeping bags plus two suitcases (the type with handles and small wheels) and there is still room for more. you can correctly balance it to avoid any excessive tounge weight and is pulls so easy you forget its even there at times.

You can also throw in your jackets when it gets too hot or on the opposite side quickly get out the rain gear. The big advantage over the bags is that it does not distract the looks of :spyder: when you are not using it. The initial expence will be a little more but the benefits outway it all. Just a thought

I wasn't really endorsing the Corbin bags, just noting that they have made quite a few sales at this Gatlinburg event. If you like the looks of the Corbin bags, then I'm sure they will be a great addition for you. I have the GIVI bag system myself and I really like the looks of them, their functionality and the fact that they can be had for about half the price of the Corbin bags.

Corbin's bags relocate the passenger pegs down and forward but don't do anything for the rider pegs as far as I know. They also have a different mounting point for the exhaust that has the exhaust sitting much more horizontal. Once it gets light out, I'll go outside and take comparison pics of the Corbin bags, my Spyder with GIVI bags and a Spyder with no bags.

The corbin saddlebags appear to me like it is part of the Spyder as a whole. It compliments the design and curves of the Spyder. Regardless what a rider is using, it is the function of the saddlebags that counts the most.
