• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin Fairing

I have the Corbin fairing and really like it. It came on the Spyder, which also had custom paint, Corbin seats, other goodies too numerous to mention. One of the goodies is the Garmin 660 with XM, and I have the XM antenna mounted under the fairing. Also mounted under the fairing is my garage door opener -- taped and latched to a screw and very convenient.

the fairing provides lots of wind protection. I'm 5/4 and get no helmet buffering or wind. It came with both a clear and smoke windshield -- I use the clear only.

Some folks hate the style -- others like it. To each his own!

I doubt whether I would have bought it if I had bought a stock Spyder. There are probably other windshields just as good that don't cost nearly the Corbin price.

On the other hand, I'm glad I have it. I'm not taking it off.

I see you are in OK -- too bad, I was through there in July and would have stopped. I'd suggest that you try to find someone with one to check it out and see how you like it.

I have the Corbin fairing and I absolutely love it. It comes with a 10" windscreen which wasn't quite tall enough for me (I'm 6'4"). But it was designed to be able to accommodate any screen that would also fit 1997-2006 Harley-Davidson FLHTC model fairings. I purchased a 15" screen and it works perfect for me. I know some don't like the looks, but I personally get positive comments constantly.:2thumbs:

I also would like to know if anyone has any experience or opinions on the F1 Mantis fairing? I noticed that they are about the same cost. (High)nojoke

I think the Mantis looks a lot better. I have Corbin seats but that's all I like that's made by Corbin. Also, their prices are a bit steep in my thinking. I know you get what you pay for, but is it really worth it? Can't say.

I also think that the Mantis looks better on the Spyder, but I don't know about the quality and fit, etc. I also don't know about the mirrors and those small signal lights. It does look good though.

Funny, I didn't like the looks of a spyder from the front until I SAW one with a Corbin fairing. Finally, it looked finished to me! But variety is the spice of life and all that.
I like the fairing from the driver's side view, too. I like the shielded space it gives you for electronics, speakers, etc. and the wind protection is better than any of my other bikes have ever offered me. One day I rode from daylight until dark, with only the half-helmet and very dark sunglasses I had left home with with me, and had to shed them to see. Thought I was in for a rough time with the wind in my eyes, but it was fine.

I like the looks but can't afford one. Guess I better go back to playing Lotto. Their stuff is very high priced if you ask me.
