There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Corbin Bags w/ Dual Exhaust

This is what I got from Corbin when inquiring about their bags and my 2 Brothers Dual Exhaust

Corbin Rep said:
Thanks for writing. We have confirmed that the bags will not install with dual exhaust systems as many variations do not offer enough clearance between the pipes and the bags.

I'll forward this info onto our R & D department - there could be a possibility we can come out with a revision of the bags that will work with dual exhaust systems and if enough requests are made, it's something we would definitely give another thought to.

I hope this info helps - if you have any other questions feel free to give us a call at 800-223-4332 or 800-538-7035 (or 831-634-1100 outside the US) and one of our reps will be ready to assist you. Thanks for your interest with Corbin, it's much appreciated.

So no go for their bags for me now. But there is some hope....

You actually got someone at Corbin to reply to you in writing?!?! I've tried contacting them on a half dozen occassions with no replies. It is good to know they and planning to possibly modify the saddlebag brackets to accomodate the dual muffler exhaust. That would be a sweet set-up.

No, it was probably because I had a problem with one of their products... their aftercare customer service leaves little to be desired... or so it seems. They make great products though!

We have the Corbin bags on our SM5 and the Two Brothers Dual system on our SE5.

I can tell you that there in not enough room between the bottom of the bag and the ground to even fit the twin pipes without them hitting the ground just sitting there. :yikes:

Anything done to make this work would require a total redesign of both the bags and the Two Brothers mounting system.

The way Two Bros mounts it to the Spyder would have to be totally changed as it mounts way into the Corbin bag area now. Also, as a "Twin Can" system being mounted the way they do it can't easily be just rolled down lower ether, as it uses some unique brackets tying everything together.

It is possible to put Duals under the Corbin Bags
but their is very little space even for these small
diameter SuperTrapp.

As far as the 2 Brothers Dual Exhaust the diameter
looks right you would need a underneath mono cross
over adapt to be made and I think they would fit
maybe.

Corbin can change the design for the right bag (make it shorter).

Yea just what everybody wants for $1600 a tiny odd shapped right side bag. :barf:

I know having bought a set I would not have thrown that kind of money for them if they were.

Sometimes you just can't have everything! I don't thinking after looking at our SE5 again with the Two Bros Twins on it that they will fit with any bags and clear the ground, even the GIVI V35s. :dontknow:

Not to mention the price Mike Corbin told me the molds cost for these.:yikes:

That leads me to believe they won't be making any new molds real soon just for the few people who want the twin Two Bros systems.

As long as the Two Brothers duals mount the same as the stock, Hindle, Micron, etc., they will work with the GIVI bags. The GIVI rack does not change the exhaust mounting location like the Corbin bags do. If the Two Brothers duals mount higher than the other exhausts, then they may not work with the GIVI bags.

I took some pictures of my GIVI bags in relation to the exhaust. I don't think that they will work with the Two Brothers duals. The angle of the Two Brothers would bring the top muffler's tip into the space that the GIVI bag occupies.

Pay no attention to the road grime on the Spyder or the snow on the garage floor. :D

Like I said there's No Magic to this, it's just plain old science and physics.

Two bodies cannot occupy the same space at the same time. The Twin set up is way to thick top to bottom to fit in the remaining space and not hit the ground just sitting there. Hit a bump, the bike lowers, and it's all tears. :yikes:
