I ordered the whole package at $2600.00 with two tone, hitch, and shipping. I hope it is worth it, and the wait. Any heads up on what to expect?

I thought a long time about getting those, but the price difference with the BRP ones and the fact I could take them with me made me choose those.

But I have to say, the Corbin look nice. I've seen a set at my dealer and they are well built.

Hope you enjoy your purchase.

:ohyea:I was told 6 weeks also and they were delivered in around 4. Their workmanship is top of the line and the looks and storage capacity is absolutely worth the wait! You'll love 'em.

I will say after seeing them in person i liked them much better but the fact that they aren't removable is what turns me away from getting them. I would rather use soft bags or the BRP bags that are a bit smaller and can be removed to make carying items into hotels and packing much easier.

I have the Corbin saddle bags and seats, just ordered trunk box, love there product but customer service sucks left hand hasn't a clue as to what the right hand is doing. Was told 5 weeks wait and every thing shipped together as ordered. Got the seat in just over 2 weeks and then the saddle bags came in 9 weeks.Phoned about a 1/2 dozen times told a different thing each time when someone did call back. That is my rant for the day, great product realy finishes the :spyder2:

i have been loosing sleep over this...
corbin or brp
corbin is so pretty and large but will be a bitc# if i have to get into rear panels and expensive

brp is priced right and frame looks much better than givi or ind 7 but bit small and not as sleek as corbin...

what to do what to do...:cus:

No doubt the Corbin is larger, sleeker and probably better made than the BRP bags. Just depends on what you are going for. I only do 3-4 day trips - so the BRP is just fine. If you pack more like Diana Ross, you better get the Corbins - :D.

Being removable was the main thing I wanted thus why I went with the BRP setup.

I have the Corbin seat and love it. They custom make everything - so that is why it takes many weeks to get things.

As with anything in life - you get what you pay for - and the Corbin stuff is top notch.

For those of us that waited 12 months just to get a Spyder - 6 weeks is a cakewalk!

I love my Corbin bags. When I see a Spyder without I think it looks naked. :D

It's worth the wait, depends on what you plan to use the Spyder for. It replaced my car so the Corbin bags just made sense. My next purchase will be the hitch.

I think that a search will probably yield lots of comments. I think there have been quite a few threads on the Corbin bags. I don't have them myself but I have seen a lot about them on this forum.

THE SHARP LOOK OF CORBIN VS ?

It was a no brainer for me, one look at Lamonster's Spyder quickly convinced me that Corbin was the one and only choice for me. As for packing clothes for over night hotel stays. I would use a small garment bag or even a vac bag that removes all the air, the maid with a vac is a peek out into the hallway or a couple of buttons on the phone. I just could not put those block looking suit cases with their over sized frames that looks European or BMW style on a spyder that has curves and points. If I had to chose something other than the Corbins I guess it would be soft bags. I was not happy about paying their price, but I always say you get what you pay for. I've had Harley rides refer to the bags as making the spyder look "fat". Meaning they liked the look as much as those of us whom have put them on our spyders. As for customer service it varies, I was told 6 weeks by my dealer (10% savings) and had both the bags and saddles in two weeks. I had to send the passenger saddle back due to damage (leather pulled too tight and ripped) but, I got it back in less than 3 weeks. I'm pleased with my purchase of the Corbins and I know that those of you that chose something different are equally satisfied. Bottom line all of them serve the same purpose by allowing us to carry extra stuff. Some with more style than others. :chat:

Corbin bags

Went straight from purchasing Spyder to the Spyder event in Gatlinburg 47miles and had the bags installed, have 3400 miles on it now, they are fantastic and make the looks of the Spyder, best add on for looks and use. Only 4 bolts to remove to take bags so you can adjust drive belt or get to battery, never any leaks.

I just came from the factory in Hollister. I am looking at the seat and they had the a Spyder in the showroom with everything installed. (seat, trunk, saddle bags, trailer hitch, front windshield cowling and backrest. They had the three different colors on the Spyder to give you some idea of what to expect and what it looks like. After sitting on the seat, the wife also wants the trunk/backrest as she was spoiled after riding on the Goldwing. She also thought the saddlebags were nice. I could make an appt and they could install them within one day. Now the question is do I install it before the LA event.

It only takes 4 bolts per side to take bags off and you access to battery? If that's the case that may just sway me toward corbin.
Can you take plastic off over the rear wheels with bad in place?

They have these bags in stock if you willing to ryde up there?

I just ordered two sets of saddlebags, trunk and rear fender for just under $6,000. They told me I should receive everything in 2-3 weeks. I am hopefully optomistic. They reduced the price on one set by $300 because I only want them primered.

Anyone have any installation advice?

I love my Corbin seat, bags and smuggler trunk. I got the seat in about 2 weeks but it took around 6-7 weeks to get my bags and smuggler. They said that the bags are made and painted when ordered. I've had mine for a couple months now and don't regret getting them at all. I think I could pack my whole house on my SPYDER now. Plus it looks really cool:ohyea:
