Corbin bag lock fix

When I was in Canada I had a bunch of IPS key covers in my bags and I wanted to lock them. Most of the time I take my trailer so to be honest I never tried locking my bags since I've had them. Once I did get then locked I noticed a big problem (besides the key works on every Corbin lock), If I pulled the lid to the side the latch would come out from the keeper. I tried adjusting it but no matter what I did I could just pull sideways on the lid and it would pop open.:gaah: I even tried it on another Spyder there and had the same results. So today I whipped up a little bracket to see if I could fix the problem. It worked great and I'll make two new ones and paint them up to match and then my bags really will lock.

I want some of these too!! I have also had this issue with mine. I adjusted the lock and brackets which did seem to help quite a bit.

When I contacted Corbin about this, they told me if anything is wrong with the locks they would send me new locks.
They couldn't understand what I was talking about.
I sure hate their customer NO service.
I also would go with the BRP bags if I had to do it over again.

Hey Lamont I remember when you showed me this flaw in Sherbrooke. A lock is not much good if it can defeated as simply as that, wow.

I just cut it out of a piece I had laying around just to see if it would work like I thought it would. I'm going to make some nice ones next.
