There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For those too lazy to follow the link ( ;D), my order with shipping came to $986 for passenger and driver seats with backrests. I didn't get heated seats and I stuck with black leather.
FYI for those who have ordered red spyders, they don't currently have the color code so you have to wait a bit for the back plates and fairings. I'm trying to help them through that with my painter though to speed things up. The red on their bike is different.

I just ordered the standard black leather, both seats, one backrest and heated driver's seat. $896. Prices are in line with Corbins for other makes and models. They apparently don't try to recover their R&D up-front.
I've had Corbins on my bikes and have never been disappointed. They're a little hard for a while but they do break in OK << for me >> after a couple of thousand miles. I guess I have a Corbin behind. Some folks don't and never get used to the firmness.
I have spare backrests from other Corbin models which will fit the Corbin standard 5/8" receptacle.
I'm in it primarily for the backrests and leather. :bigthumbsup:

The secret to successfully dealing with Corbin is to just order the "off-the-rack" standard stuff. I hear << I've never had to call >> that their customer service can be somewhat lacking... when dealing with one-off builds... or special leather... or... Other folks swear at the seat's firmness. :

So, your saying that their seats aren't too great? I'd hate to pay around $1,000 and then have to sit on a seat that feels like cement! ;D Are they way to firm? Or, are they just firm in the beginning and they simply need to be "worn-in" to get the best feel?

I have been using Corbin seats for many years - always the same model, Classic Solo with back rest. I think there has been seven or eight of them. I love the seat, although it is firm and it does take about 2,000 miles for it to condition your butt the first time. Once I got used to it I would not have anything else.
The Spyder seat may not be as firm as the Classic Solo. I will have to check this out. I intend to get the Spyder sear from Corbin along with the hard bags.

I'm glad I followed the link. In seeing all that they are going to offer for it I was impressed. The seat looks like it will be nice and the bags compliment the rest of the bike. I liked everything but the big ugly banana peel fairing windshield :edit: thing. :dontknow: Corbin comes up with some beautiful stuff but it seems like there is always somebody who's mentally challenged on the design team. They have no clue as to what looks good and come up with the tackiest piece of bolt on garbage to offset the rest of the line. Probably the owners wife makes him hire her kid brother "Retardo" the water head of the family. And we all know we do whatever it takes to make the Misses happy!!!

The seats and backrests are a "must have" for me. The fairing I'm not so sure about, though. One part of me says..."Hmmmm. I like the idea of having something like that" and then another part of me says..."Hmmm. Does that look good or bad?"......I can't decide! :-[ I think I'd have to see a Spyder with the fairing installed and driven by somebody, in order to get the full affect. Then I'd make a decision. Hey, what are they asking for the fairing?

Just my opinion, but I'm pretty sure I don't like any of the stuff they came up with. The bags are OK if you need them, but everything else looks out of place to me on the Spyder. I could maybe dig the seat, but with the stitching pattern? Nah....looks a little too old fashioned.
