• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cooler for SE5 trunk

AutumnCat

GOS member (Girls On Spyders)
After our first ryde of the season, we are looking for a cooler that is more suited for the SE5 trunk.
We have a hard side 6-pack cooler that fits well enough - but, we have more space and could use a larger cooler for long, hot days.

Has anyone found one that fits like a glove? We are currently searching the internet trying to find one with the right dimensions. Tougher than it sounds.
We do think a soft cooler might work best.

I go with a soft cooler, that way as you empty it, it takes less room. Typically i will freeze a couple of water bottles that are about 3/4 full to use as ice packs, as they melt you have nice cold water. You may end up carrying just a little and replenishing your supplies later. Travelling on a bike requires you to "pack light and carry cash"

Thanks
Yes, we do have the trunk liner.
I prefer to have something self contained. And soft, so we can squish it if needed.
We always use frozen water bottles to keep other stuff cold. We frequent Ren Faires and I can toss the frozen bottles in my basket and we can drink it as it melts.
I was hoping someone might have already found the "perfect" cooler that fits that area and could give the brand and such.

I use a rain cover that came with my soft bags. When you fill it up with ice packs or frozen water bottles it molds to the shape of the trunk.

That's a great idea! I'm sure I've got a few leftover rain covers from earlier rides stashed somewhere in the garage...:2thumbs:

Found one!

Ok - we still wanted a soft self-contained cooler for our needs.
We kept looking and researching brands & sizes.

I think we found a pretty good match.
Good size, gets good reviews, is supposed to keep things really cold, convenient easy access lid, great price & Amazon had it to us in like two days!

So - just in case anyone else is in the market for something similar - this seems like a good bet!
