• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Have worn the Tactical 20(tallest) version of this boot for a month now. As far as their ability to help protect against radiant heat, they work as advertised. I would not recomend the shorter version, but that's a personal choice. Your experience may differ from mine.

Spoke to Haix about that today and I think it might be a trade off. The Tacticals are all leather. Minimally heavier and probably hotter. The Athletic are a mix of textile and leather. They are fine with exchanging them but I guess I'll at least wear them around the house and see how they feel.

Regardless thanks for turning me on to these. I needed a new and higher pair of riding boots. So many touring boots are reviewed as great to ride in and uncomfortable to walk in off the bike.

These boots look really good. Do they run true to size?


I found my Can-Am boots deflect the heat very well, and come up high with a zip velcro closure,

but these Haix sun reflect look great. I am a size 11, maybe when we swap bikes we can swap boots too :yes::joke:

I would say they do run true to size.

They are not as tall as my touring boots, or your Ca Am boots.....best guess. That said, unless the wearer wears high water pants. They are plenty tall enough.

And, if you only wear a size eleven......you could do u turns in my size fourteens :roflblack: nojoke
 
The Athletics are incredibly light and cool.

These are amazing boots and may be my new favorite in all forms and for all activities.

Hope my bike is out of the shop tomorrow. Again. So I can road test them.
