• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

998cc Convential Oil

Spec's.....

As long as the oil you want to use meets the spec's in your manual you can use it. The higher the weight the better for warm weather areas. I use the blended as that way if in a bind I can use the conventional or synthetic to get me where I'm going. I do have the RS 998 which uses oil and topping off is common....

Short answer, yes.
But as with any ? it helps to understand the background and motivation for it.
Are you topping off between changes? Are you looking for an oil to use?
Valvoline conventional is just that... a good conventional oil. Nothing special or magical about it. It will do it's job, with out fancy or flair.
If you are changing oil, there are better choices from Valvoline that will stand up to heat, not disappear like the 5wXX's in the 998, and run a full oil change cycle without shearing into a 20 weight.
