• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Considering adding Hand Brakes any ideas on cost and places to install?

Well..!!

not cheap about $1,400 plus installation. The only one I know of is a sponsor here on the home page. Don't know what installation costs but dealers will install. Depending on the use, the ICSI is a well made hydraulic system operating the exsisting configuration. I believe BajaRon mentioned his cable operated hand brake works well. if your main stopping use then for sure go hydraulic...

ISCI

I put ISCI handbrakes on my 2011 RT and my 2014 RT. Very high quality units, made in Alabama, the staff are very helpful in working with you during installation if you have any problems. A nice hydraulic system that works by pushing on the "pedal" the same as if you were stepping on it. The clever advantage of this system is that it does not interfere or tap into the OEM hydraulic system in any way. It just pushes on the pedal linkage.

For installation of the ISCI kit, I've had two separate dealerships quote 6 hours for their service department to install them. When I requested the bike I wanted and to have the brake installed, I was advised that the only capable tech they had for this type of install had left. I was a little disappointed but at the same time impressed that it wasn't being handed to someone that could not handle the job. Upon a little research I ve decided to install myself as I have past mechanical experience with bikes. Looks as though it will be time consuming but not that difficult. The system works with the stock brake system without tapping into the stock brake hydraulics. I will work on providing an update once the install is complete.
