• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good morning, came back yesterday, after 8235 miles doing the Iron Butt, 48 10 witch is: the lower 48 states in 10 days. AWESOME RIDE. Arthur on his gold wing and me on my RTS. We started the ride Saturday the 16 of May at 3.00am and finish Monday the 25 of May at 3.00pm with 12 hours to spare. I took 2 quarts of oil to do the trip, in Arizona broke the central arm to raise and lower the windshield and stop to repair and Mcgyver the windshield with shoes laces, peace of wood, shirt, and Gorilla tape. Weather wise was very good except west of Amarillo Texas, severe thunderstorms. I know what they means by severe thunderstorms, that was a scary 100 miles ride. We rode in 30 degrees to 90 degrees weather. . Arthur had a close encounter with a deer in Iowa. Just inches to spare. We rode an average of 12 to 16 hrs every day. see you soon. :ani29:

Congrats again:bowdown::bowdown:. Did you have an Iron Butt after this ride? What did you do about oil changes and tires? Bruce

Good evening, My rear tire is ready to be change. I put a new Kuhmo before the ride, and it id not last better than the Kenda. I used 2 quarts of oil on the whole trip, witch is about normal oil consumption for the v twin Spyder, at least since I own this one witch is the same year as yours 2011. I send all my paper work Saturday to the Iron Butt association to be certified, and I cannot find out nowhere if someone on a Spyder done this ride. I done three Iron Butt rides in one: the Saddle Sore 1000, the Bun Burner 1500, and the 48 10. I call BRP and E mail BRP to find out and no answer. So I will be waiting for the Iron Butt Association to get my certification. Bucket list check. Awesome ride. :ani29:
