Confused about Oregon travel limits coming in July

As may be expected, the info on the web is confusing at best, when it comes to "clear" restrictions / approvals on the subject for some states including our own of Washington. :yikes:
(won't comment on our local and state governing(?) bodies, as you know what we know if you watch our the news :dontknow: )
Be that as it may, Can any Oregonians please help me with what it looks like for a road trip along the coast from Astoria to say the Calif. border in mid to late July? Hotels, food, gas?
Appreciate any information.

We just rode through Oregon from CA to Boise, not exactly your route but here is what we encountered. We spent the night in Klamath Falls at a Comfort Inn, the hotel was not serving breakfast however we did get them to open the breakfast room so we could eat our dinner in there. There were 6 in our group, we arrived around 9:00 pm and most restaurants were closed, fast food places were carry out only hence the need to eat in the breakfast area. In the morning we had a great breakfast at a local restaurant that had 50% seating available. They still insist on pumping gas for you, in cars anyway, a weird OR thing, the gas pumpers wore masks as did those in restaurants but not many others did.

CA was about the same and so was ID. We were supposed to go to an event in Seaside OR that was cancelled so we did this trip instead. We had made reservations at the Seaside hotel while the quarantine was in effect so they were open there as well.

You should not have too much trouble getting what you want on the coast. Work it out so you need gas in Florence - it's usually really cheap there. Casinos are open and there is one there. Not on 101 so ask where. They can tell you at Big Dog donuts, they are great! Gotta get there before 3pm though.
You are gonna love the ride south of Yachats.

Thanks. Surprised about the pumping gas thing. The last few years we have travelled in Oregon, we were told (and experienced) that the gas pumping thing was "your choice". Just shows....you never know.

Thanks for the info. We have made this run 5 times in the past so we know the areas pretty well, just not the current state of affairs.
We like Florance too. In fact, on our 2014 trip (new Spyder) we got to the Fred Myer gas pumps just outside Florance on fumes after leaving our prior hotel location "way up the road" without filling up !
My significant other knows ALL of the Casinos along the way very well also. :roflblack:

She knows the casinos? Are we married to sisters? If Gold Beach is a lunch stop, I suggest the Port Hole Cafe, if it's open for sit down dining. Good fish & chips and home made pies. Take a right immediately after you go over the bridge over the Rouge River. It's right there on the water.

So far as of June 15th most county’s are in phase one of reopening, many restaurants are open to limited seating. The only county that is not open is the Portland Metro Area, as for gas pumping , motorcycles can pump their own gas, motels are open except for the Portland area. Hopefully the Portland area will open by mid July.
